Those who attempt to assert their own opinions as law with no authority to back it up really make me sad for humanity. There's no reason why we can't coexist and live tolerant lives. Remember, when you limit freedom to your own understandings of the word you limit what it can and should do. Janelle Monae- "you're free but in your mind, your freedom's in a bind" - from Many Moons Anything not hammered down by law is open to interpretation. You don't have to like someone else' interpretation, but unless there's a higher governing force on your side, you do have to live with it. The only other option is to get proactive and get involved in changing the laws to more suit what you feel is best for the general public to live by. However, to simply complain that "you shouldn't be here with that" is fairly useless as it is simply one person's opinion against another, both of which have no actual authority to enforce it as law. There's been a lot of talk on this site about what is and isn't "appropriate" for a nudist venue and it's all boiling down to this general idea of what nude etiquette is and basically that if you don't eat a salad with your salad fork you aren't welcome at the dinner table. It's an unfortunate and intolerant attitude as certain things aren't required for you to dine with someone they're just these rituals we play to show some sort of respect for archaic and ignorant practices. For others who have felt unwelcomed by this attitude i would say this. You always have a choice, and if you can't choose to tolerate people who happen to share their meals around a low table sitting on pillows on the floor because you've always sat at a dinner table 4 foot tall in a straight backed chair... maybe you're the one with the problem. Different doesn't equal bad, and for a group of people that says "come as you are, exposed to the world" and promises to be welcoming, I've noticed a lot of unwelcoming behavior. There's a clear lack of respect by many on this site whether it's those that are lecherous perverts or those who are sanctimonious self-imposed police cutting down anything that mentions the word (sex). I guess I don't understand those who don't know how to say "I am uncomfortable with this, please continue your activities just don't involve me in them" any more than I understand those who feel they have to go "I will do this in front of you whether it makes you uncomfortable or not". To me there needs to be a big... relaxation on things by all sides. The longer I'm here the more uptight a lot of you are becoming.
