So here is the short list I've compiled for moderators of the chat room. If you would like to suggest someone, or a reason why a certain candidate shouldn't be included please respond here (Please try to be polite)TallSwimmerAndyBrucejackieinozozzietazzRabbitnBunnywillnsueSnugglebunnytxag_1975

I would highly recommendTxag_1975.  He's friendly, polite, everyone likes him and he doesn't take any garbage in a very nonconfrontational way.  I don't know if he's applied or not but I'd bet he'd accept if it was offered. Jen

I totally endorse TXAG he got me to this site  and has an Adult attitude to chat and people in the room.. however i would also like to ask is it Jen as in  sungglebunny if so  then i endorse her.. otherwise i am sorry i do not endorse  ..

I would like to ask.. if it is a person who is part of a couple using same name...does that mean BOth are moderators or who?? and do they both get to moderate and "see"the room? I feel this needs to be thought out clearly and carefully and made known  to  all  members here..

cheers

I didn't apply because I haven't been on much lately, but now that my job is slowing down I would accept if offered. Thomas

Yup - add Jeeps and Txag - on the grounds they did not seek office and my limited experience of chat is that they are fair minded, even tempered and very pleasant.Love n stuffRudie x

I've added txag_1975 and I did ask Jeeps if she was interested. I haven't heard back from her yet.
If you would like a separate account set up, we can do that or I can just assign admin privileges to
your current account. Mods will have the ability to kick and ban users from chat. The new forum will
have the ability for moderators to delete posts that break the rules.

As far as how they were chosen, most candidates here have been with the site a long time and have
a history of helping me keep it clean. I believe they also have the same goal for the site as I do.
I've kept all the emails for future moderators and will appoint more if necessary.

I will be putting together some guidelines for the moderators as to what qualifies for kicking and
banning users from chat, and should have everything implemented by the weekend.

As many of you will know, this old box won't allow me to go into chat,
and I already spend far too much time here anyway, so I don't really
feel that my opinion should really count for much, but anyway, for what
it's worth.

I would just say that I'm sure all these suggestions would be good.
I would hesitate to nominate, for fear of missing someone. With the
exception of a few recent ones, that I don't yet know so well, pretty
much anyone on my friends list would be good.

Not everyone has the time, so I would think the best way to go, would
be to list all the volunteers, and run a poll. But having said that, the
more the merrier, as it would spread the workload, and will stand more
chance of success, if each moderator was not under pressure to give
up too much of their time. Hopefully there will be a good Geographical mix,
so that cover can be made over the full 24 hours.

Perhaps if you appointed a board of say six long time members, who we
all know and love, who also have experience of the chat, and let them elect
mods that they know to be of sound mind :)

Oh, and to avoid any risk of any unpleasant reprisals, I would suggest they
each have a Mod ID, say Mod1, Mod 2, etc.

For me, adding mod privalage to my account would be easier than having seperate account.

Phil, even though you don't go to chat, I feel that all you have done for this site means your input is valued.  When you were away from the forums for a while, you were definately missed.

Since, I don't visit chat frequently at all, I don't know how those on the list act.  I do think they act very admirably in the Forum and would support them.   I hope they have the time.

I have every confidence in some people on the list and no reason to disapprove of any of the others. However, Phil does raise a good point about geographical representation. I hope it is considered.

Boots I so agree with you !! this is an adult site so lets act and be adults as if this goes as a "cop state" chat site rather than a moderated  adult site then it will not be around in a few months.. I do not wish to see that happen.. and i feel that there has to be in place  for moderators with partners on the site a situation where the partner does not NOT  pose or  implement their views to the moderator.. as does happen now .. The moderators have to be totally independent of others and not ask other not online  members to flag people who are seen as breaking the rules...
TT i suggest once you have agreed to a guideline with the moderators you post the guidelines  for all to see , also i feel strongly there has to be put in place a communication back to you which you will respond to .. if members see that moderators over step their guidelines set out by you .. this is after all a nudist community and one that needs to be fair and unbiased......
cheers and I wish you well

I think everyone is making more of this than there is. If you are not doing anything wrong, dont worry. If you are abusing the cam, or harrassing someone then you will have to leave. Seems pretty simple to me.

I have been visiting chat more often of late and it is very clear when someone is out of line. Not really a whole lot of grey area. No one is looking to start a vigilante attack, no one is looking to single anyone out, the mods will be there to assist in supporting the very clearly stated rules. Thats a good thing whether everyone realizes it or not.

We think it is also a very important item that any and all moderators in a nudist chat room or forum NEED BE NUDE in there profile pictures. It is poor practice for any moderators to be clothed in a nudist website especially if they do not practice what they are moderating. This is "Truenudists" not true clothing optional. Practice what we teach - moderators are to be setting good examples

Until it becomes possible to prevent search engines from finding nude photos, I can't see how we can force anything like that on anybody, including moderators. People here, including confimed nudists, need to know there will be a certain amount of protection in case their "public" lives don't jibe with their "private" lives.

It will never be perfect. Screen captures are far too easy to do. But let's at least offer some type of assurances that they will not be sticking their necks out too far just because they're moderators.

The fact that you cannot accept an apology does not fare well for you Mikey. It was a simple mistake which was admitted to and yet you have chosen to make it a huge public ordeal. That is the type of thing that does not help in the chat room or in the forum. Accept or dont accept the apology, dont make it such an issue.
No i don't accept your apology i'm afraid. and there is nothing in the rules to say that i should. Also i'm well within my rights to make this public.
Man, you are WAY out of line on this one. We should never have got to hear about this "none event" The fact that you can't accept an apology for a simple mistake, and the way you have reacted to it, speaks volumes about YOU! btw, Rabbit is a well known, well liked, well respected, long term member of this site, and if you stick around long enough, you'll find that out for yourself! Phil.   (One of the SINGLE guys, who IS on Rabbits friend list!)

I completely agree with Bullet.  I'll leave it at that. I also feel for the fella if he was mistakenly accused.  I was accused once when the only thing anyone could see was from my shoulders up.  AND I had on shorts.  It turned out to be an honest mistake - but if someone flagged me that can't be taken back. ---begin quote-----
I've been with this site for more than a year, although I deleted my previous account for a few weeks before giving it one more try.  I left only because of the lack of control and numerous violations.  I'm not sure you're going to get many people saying publicly that they do not support your list of moderators for fear they will be "marked" because of it....not saying it will happen but the possibly certainly exists.  You as the owner of the site can do what you want, but you need to keep an open mind if you start getting complaints about some of the moderators' attitude in the room.  Where there's smoke, there is usually fire.  I have done whatever I could to help keep this site clean as well, and done it hopefully with an attitude that people respect.  Some on your list will never win any popularity contests, and that's not a requirement, nor should it be.  However, I've witnessed several confrontations in the chat room that could have been handled in a much more low-key manner, in my opinion.  Perhaps you (TT) should go into the chat room and ask some of the users their opinion when the nominees are not around.  You might get more honesty that way.  I personally think you've got a decent and diverse list, but I also know some rub many people the wrong way.  There are many other members who would also be great.  Let's just hope it works out.

The use of the phrase "rather like cops" makes it clear that some might use the moderator position to become a vigilante in the chat room.  I fully support the guidelines of the chat room - but I also value allowing those with different viewpoints to express their views.  As is clear, we don't all agree, but we all can chat respectfully and politely.

I cannot speak for everyone, but the ones I know well I think will agree, by accepting the mod position we have an obligation to follow the guidelines.  We need to be concerned with the sexual activity on cams and the harrassemant of the ladies when they come in which has made some leave.

Thomas
I just spent an hour in chat with the new mods in place. I think it was the best time I have been in there. Nothing going on that shouldnt have been and everyone getting along. I definately think this is the way to go.

Taking on any job that carries with it 'authority over others' is never easy - from real Police Officer to Moderator - and make no mistake - both roles have a similar underpinning philosophy and, of course, have a 'badge'.  One is going to be unpopular with some people sooner or later because most human beings do not like to be 'controlled'.A lot of the time such jobs are pretty thankless.  If things go pear shaped its "why didn't they do something" and if prophylactic action is taken it's "why did they do that?"  It's not about swanking around 'polishing a badge' but rather running around furiously bailing out the ship.  By taking on 'the badge' ones own behaviour is altered and restricted.  It can be very frustrating if one holds strong opinions - simply because one can no longer express them openly whilst wearing the badge - to do so raises the spectre of bias which in turn diminishes the authority of all.Diplomacy is key along with a balanced outlook that enables one to see both sides of an argument.  The British Bobby's job is defined as "A duty to preserve the (Queens) peace and where that peace is broken a duty to detect and apprehend those who have perpetrated the breach and bring them and the facts before the duly appointed authority for judgement."One can apply this to a website.  As a Police Officer is required to uphold the laws of society a Moderator is required to uphold the rules of a site.  Both jobs require an ability to excercise sound judgement  Neither job requires 'interpretation' or 'expansion' of the written rule.  That task is undertaken by others - in the real world it is the Judiciary, on a website it is the Website Owner.  TT1 is the authority here - the Moderators act only on his authority.Sound and practical laws make for a better society - sound and practical rules make for a better web community. To those who have expressed concerns regarding Moderators I say this.  Good moderation can only benefit this site.  Give them a chance to prove they have what it takes - yes mistakes will happen because they are only human and apologies should be accepted with good grace.Should a rogue Moderator appear then keep a record of their behaviour and flag the Moderator for it - just like any other person.  Moderator status is not a 'concrete bunker' nor a licence to oppress and I am hopeful that TT1 will not deal with a betrayal of his trust lightly.
