Oct 3, 2013Still confused about the details. Supposedly this woman rammed a barricade, but pictures of her car afterwards show a front end in pristine condition. Did she ram it in reverse?

DesertRatOct 8, 2013In the interest of protecting the child's rights, someone will file a wrongful death suit in behalf of the child. The government, meaning us taxpayers, will end up being stuck with an enormous bill. The police shooters will not have to pay a dime. That's how government works and it stinks.ReactReply - T=

She was armed with a deadly weapon, and she fired it more than once. The whole thing is a tragedy. Like the shootings in Aurora, Newtown, Arizona, Virginia Tech and others, the problem appears to be a failure of the mental health laws.ReactReply

[/quote]Thomas,
I did not say that she used a firearm. I said she was armed with a deadly weapon, and she fired it more than once. She struck, I believe two officers and tore through the streets at 80 mph. The point is she used deadly force, after those around her knew of her mental illness. The same is true of the shooters in Aurora, Arizona, Virginia Tech, Newtown and elsewhere. The problem is that liberals have destroyed the mental health system in this country-preferring to let the mentally ill suffer so that they can be free. So they may have their rights unobstructed beyond the point of being a danger to themselves and to others. Yet those same liberals want to keep mentally stable, law abiding black people who live in the inner city; unarmed in their own homes so that they may be preyed upon by the criminal elements of society.ReactReply - T=
Tom === Thomas S. TierneyOct 9, 2013Sorry! I was confused. I never "fired" an automobile.
I have only "fired" firearms.ReactReply - SO
SoupieOct 9, 2013How disingenuous. Find out how much republicans are in support of increasing funding for research and treatment in mental health. No, just blame liberals and Obama for everything. That's easier than actually proposing a solution. The right wing would be all over it if the government denied civil rights by making it easier to have people committed. Once again, Brucie hijacks a thread about police shootings to make it his own personal platform for his wacky political "theories".ReactReply - T=
Tom === Thomas S. TierneyOct 9, 2013Republicans "increasing funding for research and treatment in mental health"? Never, cure mental health problems and there would be no Republican Party.ReactReply - MA
ManOfWicklowOct 10, 2013If they had auto bollards like these that pop up from the ground, the vehicle would have been stopped instantly. No need for guns, as you can see from the picture below, they will even stop a truck.

renebbareOct 10, 2013This whole thing seems ludicrous to you too? A lady does something while driving her car, panics! Tries to drive away, she is no getaway driver and is caught and shot! - Wrong place wrong time? Yes.

SoupieOct 13, 2013Well, you really have no clue what a "true communist" is, do you? You have a four year old's conception from 1950. Being in favour of sensible gun control has nothing to do with communism. You were probably thinking of fascism, but you don't know what that is either.
