I've got to 55, with out much problem in that area! However strange as it mat seem, my foreskin has gone so tight, that I need to be circumcised.Has anyone else had to be done, at this age? and if so, how was it afterwards? This is a serious question, as I don't know anyone who's had the operation at my age. Thanks Paul

I'll go back and see what the doc says.
Thanks anyway,PaulReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterJun 5, 2012

I was circumcised at 21. An embarrassing moment where a friend asked why I was wearing extra large shorts, but I lived.

I was circumcised when I was 30 it was worth it. I was fine tbh apart from one of my stitches got stuck to my boxers that was awful painful but worth it in the end.

DesertRatMay 10, 2013I have just the opposite problem as the OP. I had a very normal post circumcision penis but after many years of normal stretching and contraction of the skin, the skin decided it doesn't want to contract any more. It just wants to hang there. Now it appears at times that I am uncircumcised when flaccid. Everything looks normal though in the aroused state.
I guess this can be considered similar to sagging breasts in older women.
Isn't it fascinating what you can learn about on the Forum?ReactReply - MEMemberJun 12, 2013I'm anti unnecessary circumsion, but accept that some children and adults are required to undergo the procedure. I work with babies to pre-k and come across boys that had foreskins that dangled longer than the length of their penis, others were so tight it would create a balloon of urine and caused the lad extreme pain when urinating. I'm not sure if a full circumcision would have been my first choice. But once the elastic end of the foreskin has been removed that can't be recreated. Even with a foreskin restoration the newly grown foreskin won't sit snug over the head. Some men circumcised as adults report a 50 to 90 percent loss of erogenous sexual feeling. That's a huge loss for an aesthetic look.Although having said all that, I think cut looks better in my opinion. I'm glad that my parents decided to leave me intact. It's just a bit of flesh that people have too much invested in.ReactReply

RonDec 31, 2022I was cut at birth and I am not happy about it. I feel that babies should not be circumcised at birth unless absolutely necessary or for religious reasons. If they choose to get cut as an adult that can be their choice. If they are cut at birth when they can not object, the damage will be done and they will be forever missing a valuable part that they might just wish they had back. This is my opinion, you are entitled to differ with me. Just know that you are accepting the responsibility for your son's comfort being it positive or negative. Think carefully before you decide and be prepared to live with decision.
