Certified Chat

Maybe it is time to not allow noncertified users to use the chat room

As it stands now there is not much incentive to become certified.  If the only way to get into chat was to be certified it would provide an incentive.  Most fake profiles have been created for chat purposes.  Men who want attention will create couple profiles and female profiles and generally they are either trolling to see cams and pic or to have inappropriate discussions about incest etc.
The site owners would see a big drop off in fake profiles with photos stolen from the web if only certified people could go into chat. There would be no incentive for men to create so many fake profiles since they do so for purposes of going into chat with such IDs.
More real people might give chat a try and recommend it to friends if this were to be the case. Plenty of real people are driven away by the fakes.
There are some real women who go into chat who are not certified because they had no need to be.  I am sure if the only way to get into chat was to get certified then they would do so most of them go on cam in the room.  One option that might be nice is the option for women to be certified by going on cam for the admins or mods on skype or something.
Lately here has been a huge uptick in fakes scaring real women away.
There will still be some fakes who email through the site but most register to go into chat.

yes, I completely agree with being certified if only to increase the probability that the person you are talking to is really the one in the photos. I agree being certified doesn't prevent anyone from being an asshole, perv, troll, or anything else but it will help cut down on fake profiles. Any method to help cut down on pervs and jerks in the chat room would be great. Being certified won't end the problem but may just help a little bit so yes, people should be certified. If you truly are a nudist why wouldn't you get certified anyway?

I really like this idea and agree. The first thing I done when join the site was to certify. It was so easy and quick to do.. just few mins!
But since I did this.. I just notice only one or two other female is certified. Then also after I become certified.. I notice a lot of messages, attention, and friend request without even conversation. Ok.. maybe I can understand that little bit. A lot of people quite desperate. But for me.. what the incentive to get certified? It will be nice to have little bit more security and feel safer. I wanted to certify to prove im real.. not be harassed more.

Hmm.. but the real honest people on this site is nice, and make me want to stay more. So here I am still.

yes, I think you are correct the owners of this TN site don't really care about the quality as much as they do the quantity. For some very stupid reason, the owners of this site think to have thousands of old never accessed profiles is a good thing. Any profile not accessed for 365 days should be archived and not in the searchable database. If the owner of an archived profile came back when they logged on then it could be reactivated. The TN site could be so much better if the owners cared about making it better. The site should make more of an effort to get people certified.

kind of sad the owner of this site is not interested in what the members want. I read so many messages about ways people would like to see the site improve with paid only or certified only areas but don't see the site creating any of these. I would much rather have a site with just a couple thousand real nudists than a site with hundreds of thousands of fakes.

I think that if people are looking for change, possibly a new Group could be created and ideas that would improve the website could be discussed. In this forum you could list what the issues are, possible fixes or changes, assign priorities, and discuss how you might approach SocialCo Media with proposed changes or amendments - standard business practices. I suggest this because although I see many suggestions about proposed changes they aren't organized or prioritized, and in some cases suggestions were made might not benefit the majority of users (OP's suggestion that women could certify by chat with administrators isn't an equal policy and segregates site rules by gender). Many websites and managed services have user groups that submit enhancements and possibly the site admin would be open to this if suggestions were precisely documented and obtainable.

I'd also remind members that this is a no/low cost site; Certified members who have paid no fees on a free membership often feel that something additional should be provided to them, yet they've provided the administrators nothing in revenue. Lifetime members (certified or not) have paid $130.00 in non-recurring revenue, and anyone who is knowledgeable about data center server/rack space can only imagine that this site may be a break-even at best when you look at the space required by profiles, forums, and photos.

I do think improvements could be made to the site but always remember that it is a low-cost site and will always have certain issues associated with free memberships, some of which belong to many excellent members - many real true nudists, also while knowing that a larger number of these memberships belong to trolls and voyeurs I attempt to use all of the tools of the site available to me and always enter at my own risk...

I think setting up a group where embers could propose changes is good , might also make it a group only open to paid members certificated with pics so that the time wasters and scammers aren't accessing it, , how would the group then attempt to get their suggestions put into practice with the sites owners ?

I think the first step might be to approach SocialCo Media and ask if they would be open to reviewing the list and having an open dialogue. If you don't get a response for an individual request then you could try reaching out to moderators or as for a group campaign from all members to solicit the same request.

I do find that you get more bees with honey though...

And just remember, any/all changed would have to be managed by a developer, go through UI testing, and all of this costs the company money (money out of their pocket that they will not recoup but making any changes to the site) so you should always keep your expectations realistic.

Come and join our Certified only group

We have 2245 members in the group so far.

I hear people say they want a certified only chat room but haven't seen any real evidence of that being true

We have a chat room started in the Certified Only group. We have about 50 people that use it but always need more to join. Hope to see you in our chat room.
I do not understand why someone would not get CERTIFIED, it is free, and the photos are secure.
Where did that quote come from? (I have just 'quoted' the post above that contains this quote) I agree, I cannot see why anyTrueNudist would not get certified - it really is simple and does not reveal your identity to anyone other than the site admins. The photos though, are not secure, as with any website, where there is a will, there is a way. If someone really wants your picture and cannot figure out how to defeat the website's security, then they can always do a screen grab and in many cases will have as good a quality picture as the person originally posted, especially if using a laptop or desktop computer with a reasonable screen. So best not to consider any picture here secure, sorry. TN's security is at best a deterrent, as with any site. Of course, any pictures you've posted for 'friends only' on TN then it is only your friends on TN who can see them at all, so you just have to trust your friends...
Speaking ofpaid memberships... so far, I don't see any value in it.... Am I missing something? ...The benefits appear to be very limited. The last time I paid for a lifetime membership in a website, it disappeared soon after that, with out a trace... and of course, no refund... If you want to share pictures with your-real- friends, why not start a private group? If there is something else of real value, here, why is it not promoted in a more obvious way?
You are right. There is no real value in paid membership other than feeling you are doing the right thing in paying for something you use. I was on the site a while ago, dropped off and then rejoined, and paid for a while. But havent started paying again yet. What did it actually give me? Access to a load of photos I had no interest in browsing. The ability to check who had looked at my profile. So what, if they were interested in getting in contact then they would have done so. Am I going to reach out to someone who obviously isnt interested? I doubt it. I wouldnt change access to basic chat room. I would make ability to view and broadcast cameras a paid for only feature. Might stop a lot of the hassling that goes on it chat and tempt me back in on occasions. Would introduce it at the same time as completing migration to HTML5 off Flash which they will have to do soon. That also opens up chat on mobile Apple devices, so another added value they could justify the charge against.

The owners really don't care about making the site what the members want. This issue has been discussed for years and years. The owners of this site want quantity NOT quality. The sad thing is they are losing so many people that were more likely to become paid members because of this lack of making the site better.

And I don't just mean here, ai mean in everything. Quality has plummeted in favor of marketing things as higher quality than they are. That's where word of mouth comes in. If something's high quality, people will hear about it and gonfornit. If it's crap, they'll hear about that, too, and not bother. Inbetween, nobody will say anything. Quality brings people in, and quality chases people off. Honestly, there are a number of problems here. Forum and group threads default to when the thread was started, not when the last post was, for example. And we should always be able to see who viewed our profile, but not to see others' pics without being certified. I've been looking for people in my area, but most of them haven't logged on in years, so many I'm convinced some of them didn't like something they ran into. You know what that could mean.
