[strong][em]Sadly when even a "true" nudist website gets it twisted with their advertising about "You're Missing A Lot", with hands over privates, what many men and unfortunately even some women now, need to understand, as a TRUE nudist, or naturist in my case, it's tiresome to be objectified, hit on, gawked at, space invaded, inappropriate comments, advances and even worse...

SHOW RESPECT. If you want more women to feel safe being nude than be a real man and show some class or at least human decency. It's bad enough when it happens on a "true" nudist website but when it happens at public nude beaches, private resorts... it's enough to discourage even me, a pretty bold woman, who has no problem calling inappropriateness out, pause and reconsideration to public nudity.

Keep it clean and fun on here and in public and more woman may feel safe enough to feel the joy of being nude.[/em][/strong]
At last a woman speaks out, I don't understand why guys think a nude woman is a sexual consent offering. Nothing wrong with appreciating beauty or sensuality but ignoring normal 'respect' values is just derogatory and lazy.
Right on!
Sadly the lack of respect is not just exclusive to this site. It happens and has happened out in the "real world" for quite some time. Times have changed and it's like younger guys aren't taught how to treat a women. I work in construction, and have worked with several females and it's like open season on crude comments and especially profanity...and the women take just so they can feel like "one of the guys." My hat's off to Love2BinMyGlory and all the women on this site. Guys don't be crude, open that door, pull out that chair, take off your hat, and have some respect.
Thank you! You're so right, nude or not, more and more men and women tend to view people as sexual objects for their pleasure and the porn industry and even major marketing is not helping... children have access and view disgraces every day, it's no wonder our modern society has lost its morale and respect for others. Perversions are commonplace and widely accepted and sex traffic is at an all time high... deplorable! It's truly ashame so many don't understand what real nudism is all about and it's a disgraceful when websites and the like use nudism for their monetary profits instead of celebrating the joy and dignity of human nakedness without sexually exploiting.

I have been sitting here for some time now thinking about the comments that have been made as this is a subject, and a problem, that has bothered me for a while. However, I don't believe that I can add much to this conversation that Love2BeinMyGlory and Oldnudedude haven't already said, and so I won't. All I will say is, Thank You, to both of you!

right on! everyone has to know what is acceptable and what is not - and what your firm response will be when someone crosses the line.

It's very sad when, what's supposed to be atruenudist site, has to resort to using sex in order to attract people to join.

100% agree. But I think the problems deeper than the OP said. The lady in the picture is not covered by her own hands, but another persons.
Also, on the Home Page, two choices are offered. " I want to meet Nudists", or" I want to see nudist pictures"
Sounds kind of like a sideshow at a carnival.

Surly a better home page can be designed.

Also there are far too many profiles on this site who are confused between nudity and sex and with the site owner also owning true swingers I think they get confused as well. I have pointed out blogs which are about sex to the site owner and they are still up. The only thing to make the site better is if members make comments about a member which are sexual/downgrading etc are kicked of this site to clean the site up.

The lack of respect and objectification of women (primarily) and men (increasingly, check out Abercrombie & Fitch) leads to a lack of respect of individuals. As good consumers, at least for men used to women being disregarded, we seldom speak up. So who could expect any change at a place where people have chosen to be naked and more vulnerable like a nudist resort? Let's show respect by speaking up to increase awareness of objectification and the lack of respect used to make people afraid enough to pay for more crap they don't need.

The thing that frustrates me is that this is a site that we as nudist go to talk with others and enjoy. Yet it seems a lot of people come here and say they are a nudist just so they can look at pictures all day and get turned on. It is more of a sexual thing for them. Just go through the gallery and you will see comment after comment on some guy commenting on some girl's body part and making it sexual.

Getting inappropriate comments, advances and being objectified, hit on, gawked at, space invaded is very tiresome and makes you feel very uncomfortable and unappreciated. And It's almost on a daily basis you get confronted with that kind of behaviour.

A little bit of respect goes a long way.

There is a proverb in German:
"Was du nicht willst, dass man dir tu, das fg auch keinem andern zu."

    Translation with google:
What you do not want to be done to you, do not add to any other.

Write only comments that you would like to hear from others about you.

Good point which honors the meaning of respect. "Re" = twice and "spect" = look at. To look at twice. Maybe as men we look the first glance and see an object because our brain is wired that way. The trick is to remember to look at the second time to appreciate the whole beauty of one another, on the inside and out, and to know that it is all good. Be well.

Respect is the right of everyone. Unfortunately, sometimes the people on this site forget that or, perhaps, never knew it to begin with. Nudism is supposed to support this ideal that allows interaction amongst nudists to be without shame, discomfort or sexualization (if that's even a word). Without respect there can be no true fellowship amongst like-minded people if there are ulterior motives. Five minutes in the chatroom can leave one very disappointed with so many threads sounding like a bad pick-up bar. Similarly, many pix in the galleries are simply porn and do not convey respect for nudism or the person being photographed.

This is a matter of culture. I,ve been in places where nobody even question that everybody (not only women but special) deserves respect, this is somthing natural, you can socialize being naked same as dressed, no difference, but this is a matter of mature minded people. Usually you cant spect this in a public beach, as a woman I know what i am going to find there.

I had never thought of the word RE SPECT as, "to look at twice". So insightful. We ALL get to be wonderfully human and make mistakes, at times hurting ourselves and others but being human also means we are above the animals and get to chooooose, it's unfortunate some lack the fortitude to evaluate their thoughts, actions... and realize there may be a better way. God Bless you all, keep up the good fight. Some just need help recognizing nudism/naturism is a beautiful, shameless, wondrous, gift and we ALL need to hold one another in the highest regard as fellow beings. RESPECT!

Another aspect of "Respect" is simple social graces-specifically Courtesy. If you tell someone you are going to visit them, one would assume that person is planning their day around your visit. Most likely they are putting some chores or activities on hold, pending your promised visit. Why are so many people, young and old, saying they are going to do something or come for a visit, then never show up? They never phone or send an email message to say they are not going to make it. My only thought is that since they communicated by the internet, they feel exempt from common courtesy.

I agree. Some if the comments on the gallery here are disgusting and the moderators definitely need to be taking a harder line on banning these perverts giving true naturalists a bad name.

Remember if someone posts something about a photo on your profile the quickest thing is to remove him/her from your friend list as you need to be a friend to post these comments in the first place.
