Looking for some advice.........I've been summoned to appear for an arraignment pertaining to an early morning naked walk, and someone called the cops! I was alone, in an empty parking lot or so I thought. Anyway, has anyone had to go through this? Open to any input

    Steve,

If We dont regularly Exercise Our INALIENABLE #ClothesFREE Liberty & Codified #1stAmendment Right to DiVest from inane nanny bodymask tyrannies & defy codes & rulers aimed & armed to deamonize & criminalize #TheHumanBody, ignoramuses might dupe Us into feeling We dont deserve them or never had them in The Beginning.

Forgettable vapid laughable circus stunts & esoteric codes/ by #TheTemps ( vain nanny virtue signaling legislators desperate for attention lest they risk becoming completely irrelevant to Our daily lives ) aside, according to every Nudist/Naturist outlet available for comment, NO #USgovt Court / Judge / or DA has recently ( in the past half century ) prosecuted anybody for simply defying inane bodymask ( clothing or smile ) mandates. If someone can find 10 (ten) cases, unencumbered by other charges, I will offer US$5.00 to anyone for the first 10 transcripts & docket numbers I receive. Even a blind halfwit attorney could effectively protect her/his client from formal indictment ( much less derealy hearings, conviction, sentencing, fines, or cagings unfit for a rabid animal ) IF the case was not fully DISMISSED by The Court, as most arrests I know of are, without any penalty or other records suggesting a crime was committed. Even so, most statues under the #USgovt rate fines for Nudism comparable to parking tickets ( & I know of few automobilists who dont have a few of those under their belts & have paid them without any regrets.

Brush up on The Constitution & First Amendment & any personal statement You might give directly to a Judge, who will Respect the hell out of You Intelligence, more than most illiterate imbeciles they deal with daily ad nauseam, & let You walk with NO RECORD & an ( enabling ) slap on the wrist at most. That is if they dont dismiss the case because they have MUCH more serious things to deal with.

If any LITERATE NUMERATE* SOBER folks on this thread think Our totally overburdened over extended #USgovt Courts ( not to mention DoughNut chasing cops & legislators who have far too much time on their hands ) have time to give extensive serious attention to harmless NON VIOLENT offenses, then I have an iconic *Solid Gold* Bay Area bridge to sell You at a discount. Please let Me know ( THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME OFFER EXPIRES AT THE END ON THE MONTH, Sunday 31 March 2024 ).

    * Has anyone given thought to how much #USgovt LAWYERS cost taxpayers in billable hours ( & what #USgovt pays out in Settlements every month )? I used to date one; they live pretty darn comfortably mainly because Jane/Joe taxpayer never sees the costs; like stealing candy from blind babies.

I'd bet more nudists are a bit "sexual libertines" than not. After all, you have to be willing to go against the norms to fully accept nudity as normal. And generally, open minded people are open minded to all aspects of life. Actual nudists use their nudity as a front for anything that their nudity promotes.
Why do people make such a fuzz of the most natural thing on earth?I never could understand that... Its not though, thats why threads like this exist. Staying away from the view of those fuzz making people is the only way to protect yourself. Having a kink about wanting to be caught nude in public is not being a nudist. Why there are so many groups for this kink is what Ill never understand.
You have assumed that this person wanted to be caught naked in public, which is not the case from everything I have read ! Exhibitionism, being caught naked and genital focused interests tells me exactly what kind of man he is.

Do a little research itll stop you looking like a moron.

You are correct in one aspect sexual libertines especially those online have hijacked the term nudist and attached their sexual aims to it. Just Google the term or look at those who come on this site seeking a sexual connection and you can validate your view. However you are incorrect to say this "expansion of the meaning of the term is necessary to grow the nudism. At the height of the nudist community when families planned and had nudist vacations, nudist venues were plentiful and ydist beaches were on the rise, it was based on a principled nudism that DID NOT include the type of open mindedness you suggest. Libertines continue to push the idea that unless a person accepts their sexual goals asa part of nudism we are prudes and closed minded. I suggest the opposite. It is the libertine who is being closed minded in forcing other nudists to accept their definition or be demonized. Nudism has never benefited from that. Check the history it was exactly that kind of openness to including the sexual libertine ideas that started the decline of the nudist community that continues today. Leaving us with in the US with fewer venues, beaches and people.
"Nudist" is a very broad category or term and is not so narrowly defined as you seem to think. That's a huge double standard that a man who has an erection would get cited (and in Las Vegas a "visible erection" can even be under a man's clothing,) whereas women have erect nipples and engorged vulva or breasts all the time and people act like that's normal.
Granted, it is not as obvious a woman would have to spread her legs to show off (and some woman exhibitionists do.)
Even some female figure models have confessed to have sexual fantasies while posing and get aroused. A man who would get erect even if just because they are relaxed or were warm, most likely be asked to take a break or leave.

My case has been dismissed!! I hired an attorney, and we made an agreement with the prosecutor. As long as I keep my nose clean, and not get any other public naked offense within 12 months time, they would dismiss it. Dismissal happened the last week of December. So now I'm curious about whether a dismissal shows up on a background check. Does it cause issues if I get busted again at a later date? How can you completely remove things out of ur account?

To me it appears that if you get caught naked in public again in the next 12 moths you will be prosecuted for both offences. If you get caught naked in 13 months time, they will only prosecute the new offence but it will be much easier to prove intent because of your record which will show a pattern of behaviour rather than a silly one time mistake. Either way, it will be on your police record for life as I assume from what you said you never contested the charge. Again, this is only my read on it, your attorney should be able to set it out for you better. PS did you take my advice and not tell anyone you were a member here as a defence?

I don't know much about UK law, but in many states in the US after a period of time, minor offenses can be removed from someone's record. Follow up with you attorney about it.

Follow up with you attorney about it.
If everyone in law enforcement complied with UK law, nudists, naturists would be fully at home naked anywhere. Some police officers still make personal decisions that don't uphold the UK law, but solicitors and the courts should not uphold indecency charges were no sexual offence has been committed. If no offence has been committed then no record would exist. The initial problem for the nudist being you must know the law and your rights, because some police officers will try to manipulate interviews to their advantage and get you to admit to indecency if you don't fully understand the criteria. A court may then make the wrong decision because they rely too much on the police for initial guidance of an offence.

It is a myth that the law in the UK a gives the right to be naked whenever wherever one pleases. The Scotland Yard guidance clearly states that it must be expressed in a way that does not cause offense or distress of any kind. So police are well within the law to investigate a circumstance where someone reports offense or distress. That is why a British Naturism advises group activity instead of solo rambling naked in general public.

You may want to do a little bit better research than your previous ideas in the post before this one. I've spent time searching out legal information to advise me correctly on UK law. Parliament UK was very careful when the wording of the law was established in 2003 regarding nudity and sexual offences. Parliament gave naturists and nudists a "Guarrantee" that being in public was legal, which is also agreed with the House of Lords. I also have real world experience being naked in public and have had conversations with the police while naked in public. No arrest and no reporting carried out. After talking with me about nudism the police just said to me you can now go on your way, and I just walked away naked.

Being nude around no nudists is not the goal of Uk naturism.

Thank for making the point that individual public nudity is not the primary goal of UK naturism. I wonder if the individual with such vast personal experience that they seem to want to generalize to every situation has read this document developed in cooperation with British Naturism to guide police response to public nudity. The document clearly says that not every situation of public nakedness is acceptable or without legal consequences. It is not a blanket freedom. This was my point.
Naturists have a right to freedom of expression which only engages criminal law if they commit sexual offences or use disorderly behaviour that they intend to or are aware may be disorderly within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress. Although officers should consider every situation according to its own circumstances, forces should adopt a consistent approach to naturism to maintain public confidence in the police and to avoid the inappropriate use of police powers.
[link]/link/cd5673d524e2dcdc/aHR0cHM6Ly9saWJyYXJ5LmNvbGxlZ2UucG9saWNlLnVrL2RvY3MvY29sbGVnZS1vZi1wb2xpY2luZy9DODQ5SU8xMTgtcHVibGljLW51ZGl0eS1haWQtcmV2aXNlZC5wZGY%3D[/link]https://library.college.police.uk/docs/college-of-policing/C849IO118-public-nudity-aid-revised.pdf
I also have real world experience being naked in public and have had conversations with the police while naked in public. We need to understand with an open mind what exactly is normal!!! Now, the time we live around the world, most countries are very well provided for materialistically. There was a time when people didn't have access to materials to make clothes and lived naked. This occurred for a long time and as materials became available, people started to become clothed. In 1942 in the UK the Government past a law that said everyone must then wear clothes orcoverings of some description, whatever was available at that time. From that time a naked body was deemed indecent if unclothed? Personal opinions over time changed and society grew up wearing clothes, but did that make things any better? Fashion, rape, murder etc etc goes on and on. Would have been interesting had records been recorded before time in 1942 when people didn't wear clothes to see what crimes took place back then. In reply to the previous post, anyone can cut, edit and paste "Part materials" to get their views across, but the facts of life remain, and they are; We are all created in our skin and arrive clothed in skin only. That is what I call normal. Other people who have an open mind on the subject have defined it as follows; Naturism is defined by British Naturism as a philosophical belief in a natural, naked lifestyle whereinpersons espouse nudity as part or possibly all of their lifestyle. While many confine their activities to their own private property or in clubs, many use beaches which are known as naturist beaches.Others engage in rambling in country areas and national parks, leisure areas and public spaces. There is no legal powerto designate particular areas or otherwise. The bold sections are there to help make my points clearer. Some people would like others to believe they are nudists, but want to confine nudity to the inside of their own homes only, then saying that a nudist can go to one of the clubs etc above, but must not be outside in their own garden or viewable in public spaces!! Yet, as I point out here above, British Naturism and the law does NOT agree with their views and statements they have made, and lets not forget I've tested the law as I explained above.
