Mar 1, 2015I have been a closet nudist for quite some time and a member here for probably 4 years now. This summer, I will finally be free to begin to live a life with less constraints. I will also be travelling on business more, and wonder if anyone has some notions about places to escape to in order to begin to enjoy nudist activities-solo and in groups. I do like to hike and to take in scenery.
I will be a single male, and so I will have to contend with that stigma. I am straight. I have no interest in any male companions to ,,well-just not interested in that; this is the internet afterall. My long term goal is to eventually find a woman to love forever; nudist or not. (some things naturally take higher priorities but a good match for me will be open to trying it) But that is not going to be a part of this;certainly not in 2015.
Let me be clear. I am NOT looking for dating. I'll do that on my own in a more appropriate venue when the time comes. What I would like to hear from any of you is--some of the places where one can begin the journey. I have researched the clubs-landed and non landed and I may reach out to some of those; although I think much of my activity will be in the evenings after work, I don't know if weekends away from home will be available due to my travel schedule, though I hope to be able to arrange that.
Anyway, just looking for suggestions of spots to escape to....I will be travelling in the areas of Western Pa (I live in the Eastern side), Southern Nevada, the Seattle Metro area, as well as areas on the Gulf-but I have those areas covered already through contacts and research.
If anyone wants to share some favorite spots, I'd appreciate it. Also-if anyone would prefer to keep those secret spots more secret but are willing to share more discretely-I promise to keep it secret if you PM me the info.
Thank you

DesertRatMar 2, 2015Your post left a lot of questions unanswered. The most striking one is that you may be looking for some one to date. You've always had your status as married so this opens a big question Do you care to comment or should I not ask? The second thing is that you can now plug nudist activities in with your travels for work. Do you have a new position or again, am I being too nosy? The third thing is that the type of woman you are seeking does not have to be a nudist. I would suggest that you get your feet firmly planted in the nudist world before making that decision. You are, I believe, a newbie to social nudism so you don't really know if it's the lifestyle that will become a major part of your life. If you find that it is, you would probably be best served to seek out a partner in the nudist community, or at least, you should be open and upfront with any woman you date. Possibly not on the first date but soon if there are subsequent dates. Good luck in 2015. DesertRatReactReply - T=

That leaves these possibilities: Hewasmarried or is one of those who claim to be "married but looking".ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterMar 2, 2015Thank you, Rat. I did leave questions unanswered. This is, afterall-the World Wide Web.
Thomas-you're right. And the journey has to begin somewhere.
Chris- Yes, I know you are not my friend. But with all of your divine wisdom, you may want to consider that not everyone is deviant.
From my original post:
"Let me be clear. I am NOT looking for dating. I'll do that on my own in a more appropriate venue when the time comes. What I would like to hear from any of you is--some of the places where one can begin the journey."
Note that I said places, not people. The only reason that I brought up the dating issue is to knock it down immediately because I don't want that and because there are creepers out there who see a post like this and make contact. I've dealt with it before. I don't need someone to hold my hand (or anything else) through this, and I certainly don't need my own 'personal escort' to places. I'm hoping to find places to try on my own; and that may or may not include cordial groups as opposed to individuals with an agenda.
My agenda is to try this as I enter a new stage in my life with all of the introspection that accompanies change.ReactReply - RO

Or perhaps he is in the midst of a divorce or sadly, an impending death of his spouse.ReactReply - DE
DesertRatMar 2, 2015OK, if you're ever going to be in the Phoenix AZ area give me a holler and if something is happening with our local non-landed club, I'll get you an invitation. Please, if possible, update your profile page.ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterMar 2, 2015Rat-Thank you, I will and I have.
Rob- Thank you. It doesn't matter to Chris-he and I have had political disagreements; he can't muster the character to be able to disagree on things without losing civility or making it personal and permanent...he is simply a petty little man who doesn't know how to act.
Anyway, if anyone has suggestions, I'll check on this from time to time.

D & R- you'e right. Just a nudist. I will be like you soon-able to do it occasionally; at least for the first few years. Like many, you are just a nudist-but you have to keep it under wraps. When I say closet nudist, I mean no social activity yet. Just around the house, not in front of kids. Our friend Tom is living large. He lives in a nudist resort, is retired and so probably wears clothes about 7-8 times a year. Must be nice.

But lots of guys before you have overcome that. Stating you are straight has no relevance in true nudism.

OP: I have no interest in any male companions to ,,well-just not interested in that; this is the internet afterall..

Well, you are going to be severely limiting your opportunities to experience social nudism if you're that afraid of nude male friends. Why are you afraid of doing nude activities with a straight male? Or a gay male? And a gay male that is just interested in social nudism isn't going to be sexually interested in a straight male anyway. And those nudist males you're not interested in, that are experienced, more than likely have access to even more friends both male and female. Just like the textile world, networking is your friend. Again, you're going to have a headwind to begin with. Don't expect to be invited into a mixed gender group at a landed or non landed club right from the get go.

OP:What I would like to hear from any of you is--some of the places where one can begin the journey.

You're in east PA you say? Make a day trip to Gunnison Beach on a nice summer Saturday. A couple thousand nudists male, female, straight , gay, married, single and all colors; you'll meet them all.

Do we have secret spots? Yep. Are we going to share them? Only with people we get to know first. Best of luck on your nudist journey.
ReactReply
