I have read with interest the views of others in regards to nudism and sexual behaviour and that’s left me wondering what
people thoughts were on the open display of affection by couples.
I’m not talking about sex, but about having a cuddle or kissing when you’re on a beach, clothed or not.
I like showing affection towards my wife but I feel that if we had a kiss and a cuddle on a nudist beach this may be frowned
upon

I agree with snugglebunny.  I don't see anything wrong with a mate saying " I love you" in a kiss or snuggle.  it's those little moments that are special, whether clothed or nude.

In my book nudists are just people with a limited wardrobe :) There is nothing different between being clothed or naked so you should act as you would with clothes on when you are naked. If you're the sort of person who would kiss and cuddle passionately with your clothes on then why should being naked change things?

There ARE pervs that occasionally show up, both on a site like this and at real resorts. Guard is up, and some of the "resident" locals may object. It shouldn't be, but it is. It should be very much as it is in the "real world" but..... Mostly, it is. A certain amount of affection is fine, but if someone might tell you to "get a room" in a textile venue, you can bet at least as severe a response in our world.

I agree with the 'get a room' idea, I don't get too affectionate in public but others do and it shouldn't be different if you are naked - I know it is but the nudist world should try to think about not having different standards for clothed or naked. The textile world already link nudity with sex but we (nudist) should know better.

I think pda are fine, but just recently my girlfriend and i visited a nudist resort, it was a chilly day so we
were in the indoor pool. There was no one there but us. Will we were kissing and hugging in the pool, the manager
burst into the pool room and shouted at us that "This isn;t the kind of place you think it is!" then he walked out.We were shocked and surprised.
I didn't thinki kissing was an overt sexual act which is prohibited? lol, Oh Well stuff happens. we have since been back with no other problems.
In offering a perspective from a different part of the world. I have seen married nudist couples at the beach here- having fun in the water- and I mean clean fun and the husband then leaving the water with an erection. Maybe this is exhibitionism- I don't care- it is also natural- if he'd been wearing shorts or trunks- he would still ahve an erection. They didn't have sex- they just carried on back to their place on the beach- no one cared. Maybe you all need to stop worrying so much- our bodies work the same way in clothes and without clothes. If you love your wife why would you not kiss her just because you are not wearing clothes. I suppose maybe the laws here are different our Police have bigger fish to catch- and who would complain anyway- it's a nudist beach.
Overt sexuality has lost the US some of its beaches. We are very proprietary of them and don't want to lose additional ones.

Don’t do anything on a nude beach that you would not do on a textile beach but also keep in mind that what you think would be acceptable on both textile and nude beaches might be misinterpreted on a nude beach.

If you care about what other people think or if they will stare at you.......How can you call yourself a nudist....
I am sorry, but I agree with the above statement, any form of PDA in public (of any form) is acceptable if you feel it is acceptable.  If you are feeling someone is staring or going to make you feel uncomfortable, then you are doing something you shouldn't be doing.  I am very comfortable nude and showing all forms of PDA in public with the same sex and opposite sex, At All Times.   I am very affectionate and I show it all the time, whether nude or clothes (which isnt very often).
So, grow up and don't feel the peer pressure if you are enjoying yourselves and loving one another the way we were meant to love one another.....

Apparently, the difference in PDA's and sexual behaviour is strictly in the eye of the beholder. Perhaps each of us should be tolerant of others.
Apparently, the difference in PDA's and sexual behaviour is strictly in the eye of the beholder.
Well, yes, and no. There is a gray area, to be sure, but if you find yourself precariously perched on the perilous precipice of perdition, you've likely gone a tad far for that particular situation.  A hand on someone's thigh is generally OK if that someone is your life partner. If that someone is a stranger, a "sudden impact" may be experienced. Some things are strictly dependent on the local culture. If traveling overseas one should assume nothing, and err conservatively.  There are countries where simply holding hands with your legal spouse in public is a jailable offense ! Good judgment is always appropriate.

Hi, proberly will be frowned upon; But thats their problem not yours. I like you show affection to my Wife at all times, Nude or otherwise. Cannot leave her Bum, or Tits alone for 5 mins. I have displayed my affection to her many times on Naturist Beaches, IBIZA best one; But no one there takes any notice. Proberly because they are mixed Races, and grown up.By the way, we lived near Melksham 2 Years ago, Chippenham. From there to Bulgaria, and now here in Spain. Have a great Day, Jackie and John.XX

MY WIFE AND I ARE MEMBERS OF A NUDIST RESORT IN MISSOURI AND WHEN WE WERE ON OUR SECOND VISIT WE WERE IN THE POOL AND MY WIFE WAS BEHIND ME WITH HER ARMS AROUND MY CHESTAND SOMEONE CAME UP AND SAID WE COULD NOT DO THAT HERE. I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU DONT GO PLAYING WITH EACH OTHERS GENITALS OR HAVING SEX AT THE POOL. BUT THE FEELING I GOT WAS THAT I CANT EVEN TOUCH MY WIFE. IF WE WERE AT A PUBLIC CLOTHING REQUIRED POOL WEARING SWIM SUITS AND SHE HAD HER ARMS AROUND ME AND SHE WAS BEHIND BE PRESSED AGAINST ME, NOBODY WOULD CARE. SO WHY AT A NUDIST POOL SURROUNDED BY NUDISTS WHO ARE PROMOTING THE FREEDOM OF BEING NUDE IS THIS A PROBLEM? OBVIOUSLY ITS NOT ABOUT SEX NOR DO WE WANT IT TO BE BUT IT SEEMS THAT NUDISTS ARE AFRAID OF SHOWING AFFECTION OF ANY KIND BECAUSE IT'S SOMEHOW OFFENSIVE.   WHAT DO YOU THINK/

We need more people hugging each other clothed or naked.  The world would be a better place.

I see nothing wrong with pda's myself. If you're kissing, cuddling, or hugging, I see no harm or shame it it. My late wife although not a nudist was not a pda person in her later yrs. But as long as your intentions are directed n an innocent way go for and show her you love for her!!

I would like to weigh in on this...I think we should always be affectionate towards those we love and care for no matter where we are. As I have said in previous posts, I can remember when younger on nude beaches watching my parents hug and kiss and even witnessed my dad with a partial erection for my mother. Some would say it was unacceptable but I have to say when, as a youngster, I inquired about it, my parents took all the time in the world to explain why I witnessed what I did. My parents totally loved each other and I wouldn't have an understanding that I have had it not been for that.
Of course it isn't appropriate to have full on sex in public...that behavior is for other communities...but showing your loved one affection is totally acceptable. Each and everytime I see my girlfriends beautifully formed body and essence I get aroused because I am totally in love with her. She is my heart and soul and I'd be crazy not to appreciate her. With that said...by no means is it every acceptable to be fully erect or aroused in a nudist setting. But I think, at least I hope, we all can agree cuddling and admiring our mates and loving them for them is a great thing and in this crazy world maybe showing affection, love, caring and tenderness toward others might not be a bad thing...maybe it will catch on?

When we're at a nudist outing with our friends, a lot of hugging is going on. Arrivals and departures are high lighted by hugging most of the women and maybe a little peck on the cheek. A warm handshake is reserved for the guys and even a bear hug for some of them. Because there is such great camaraderie in the group, most people look forward to this. I believe some women would feel slighted if they didn't get a hug. There is one big exception to this rule. There is very little hugging when it comes to my wife. When my wife is involved, many other emotions come into play and we want to avoid these. What can I say? I'm Italian and I love the ladies and I love my wife, but not in the same ways.
