...do so many people try to push the boundaries of good taste within this forum?

My suspicion(s) ?
That for some, perhaps many, dropping one boundary ( clothing ) is synonomous with dropping ALL boundaries.
OR...
In the US anyway, the textiled society teaches ( deliberately or otherwise ) that nudity is synonomous with sex, and therefore nude means a sexual free-for-all. That same society teaches that a sexual free-for-all is so depraved that there is no such thing as good taste, or boundaries of any kind.
In both cases, some will assume that since nude is ( erroneously ) synonomous with no limits, anything goes.
Some of the unintended consequences of an overly restrictive puritanical society ??

Additional......
( though I think this a problem that is all too pervasive in almost everything these days )
It seems we live in a *ME* time. YOU don't matter at all, beyond how you make ME happy.
I can do whatever I want, in any way I want, with no regard for other human beings, or any creature at all for that matter, so long as I'M happy.
You are irrelevant You are worthless. Me, I, mine, are all that matter. You merely exist to serve me, nothing more.
TT1 built this site for me. His views are irrelevant, he means nothing, I'll do what I want, and you WILL like it.

Childish ? Immature ? Inconsiderate ? You bet ! It's not just the under 5 crowd anymore.
Maybe it's just me.  It's not everybody, but it sure seems many, many more than at any time previous in my lifetime.

Still....I can't help but wonder why those that disagree so much with the rules don't go somewhere that the rules are more in line with what they want to do?

On the highways, how many drivers conform to the speed limit?  People, including nudists, have a tendency to test the boundaries.

My two cents’ worth:

This is under the heading Sex and Sexuality. Unfortunately, when it comes to such an all-encompassing heading, we’re bound to disagree on what is in good taste and what isn’t. That’s why I usually stay away from this category except to respond to certain threads that seem "safe."

And I could be wrong. Maybe they weren’t really safe. I’m sure somebody, somewhere, already considers me to be perverted.

In real life nudist environments I'm finding some that push limits. Sexy lingerie that would be completely unacceptable in any textile environment, except a Victoria Secret ad, or a private encounter, Chritmas wrap highlighting certain body parts, and such, yet this seems to be somewhat more acceptable at "nude" gatherings. I haven't yet seen any that CROSS the "line" but I have seen some that definitely push limits. To me, that's not nude, but I'm still relatively new to the social aspects of nudism, so I'm still reserving judgement as I strive to learn what is passable, where, and when. You're not going to find *me* with Christmas wrap around certain body parts at a nude Christmas party, but I've seen it now, so that combined with a newbies expected confusions does sometimes make it difficult to tell just exactly where the line is. This is all that unstated grey area, though, and not "clear" violations of etiquite, like sporting a stiffy.  It's relatively easy to tell what's in that grey area, somewhere between *here* and *there* is a line though shalt not cross, but telling exactly where is that boundary is not always clear. As such, for me, I prefer to stay well away from perching on that perilous precipice.

If a couple is hosting a party in their own home, that's up to them and they will deal with the benefits and fallout. But when this happens at a club that calls itself  naturist, everyone then has to decide whether to continue assoiciating with that club or not. That's not where I'd take children; that's for sure.

One word for why people push the limits here. Ignorance.
One word for why people push the limits here. Ignorance.
As I stated earlier, I'm not so sure that's necessarily the word, as there is no excuse for it. Ignorance is curable by simply reading the policies of any particular place. ( my previous post regards things that are unstated at resorts ) Methinks that here, arrogance would be a better word.

Aahhh. Much better. You are correct, ignorance can be cured. They had ample opportunity to LISTEN to advice and to read the rules and they chose not too.

Specially not the last “star” He knew exactly what he was doing. Its plain exhibitionism along with a really strong need for outside enabling.(which he didn’t get and only made him angry ) I can place a pretty sure bet that if you find a shrink among us he will have a lot to say. ( just don’t tell him about me… don’t want to be taken away…)

I respect what you say, but disagree with your conclusion that nudity pertains to sexual freedom. Wife and I have traveled a bit around the
world to various nudist resorts and most aspects of sexuality are flatly denied. Do you think it pertains to the individualistic interpretaion
of what that person is seeking ? The human body is a glorious object and should be treated with the dignity and respect it deserves.
I know I ain't much, but I'm all I've got. So be it. Let's gain a little more self confidence in our evaluation of the purity of nudity.

Jeddysan, what the heck did you just say? On another note, I haven't seen what started this all. Was someone ignorant through their arrogance? I would love to see good taste taught in school. It seems some people really have no handle on it at all. People around me often say, yeah, he doesn't swear almost at all! And why should I? I have a decent vocabulary and I use it. I treat others with dignity because that is how I prefer to be treated. Good taste doesn't mean Jazz over Rock but good music over tripe. Quality over kitsch. I don't sport any black velvet paintings because they are not worth the fabric they're painted on. My taste in friends is fascinating people who can add to my appreciation of life while not judging me for my approach...which is never belligerance and rudeness simply because they add to no one's store of fond memories. Wow, was that rambling enough? Must be late!

Some people would say that being naked in front of others is the height of bad taste. Hmmm. We know that isn't true but it just goes to show that different strokes...

It's notthathard, as I've recently found out. I'm sure the True Nudists owner might have time to look into the many improvements to the site some of us suggest now and then if he only didn't have to spend so much time dealing with those who will not follow the Terms of Service.   Besides, it's not like nudists don't like sex. Like Linda and others often say, there's a time and a place, and this isn't it.
