My favourite beer of all time has to be Cooper's Pale Ale. It doesn't make you full and on a hot day it's very refreshing.. Cooper's Sparkling is my next favourite. Both these beers are brewed in the bottle and are the only beer with a "BEST AFTER"date. I enjoy my wines as well as living in a wine growing area one has to try all the local produce :P

My beer of choice these days is BLUE MOON. Nice beer with a slice of Orange in it.

...But for a lager, nothing beats a "Grolsch".I know, i know, unpronounceable to anyone not speaking Dutch. However the Belgians make far better bier I must admit. A well know brand as an example would be "Duvel". //Marc Bier drink je met verstand..... én met nutjes! ;)

My favorite beer is always my next beer. I do like Heinekin, Sam Adams, Sweetwater, and Guinness Stout to name a few though.

While working in MA back in 2000, I used to frequent a resteraunt called 99 Club and tried Killian's Irish Red beer. That became my beer of choice. I also enjoy an occassional Michelob Amberbach or Sam Adams Boston Lager. I'm still looking for that elusive Buzz Beer that Drew Carey and his buddies used to make. Anyone here have some they'd care to share?

While I agree with the others that when God made Guinness, He knows what beer should taste like, and I am a sucker for Beck's Oktoberfest. Yet when I come home after a hard day and just want to crack open a brewski, give me a Leinenkugle!

Also, the commercials say that they will buy it back if it is past its date. My favorite would have to be Yuengling. Oldest brewery in the US, run out of my home state, and they make a great lager. There is also a German beer that I had where you could taste the barley in it. That was also a great beer. If only I could remember the name!

Since moving to Washington the beer of choice has been Kokanee. However, while I was living in Dallas, Tx I was rather fond of a cold Corona and lime slice.
What I really liked was many of the local beers in Germany that aren't exported and only available in that imediate area. And so I've started to do home brewing as well to try to recapture some of that wonderful local fresh flavor.

Soem great brews mentioned already. Hmmm, I have a number of favortie brews, depending on my mood, and the weather. Typically, I prefer Yuengling Amber, Tecate, Leinenkugel's Amber (from Wisconsin), or the Canadian brews (Molson's, Labatt's, and Moosehead). I like the brews of Saranac (F.X. Matt brewing), but they are hard to find out of NY state (it seems). I also enjoy Irish red ales (Smithwick's), and am very partial to English style brown ales (Newcastle is a favorite, but Sam Adam's and Leinenkugel brew a mean brown ale too). Valley Forge Brewing Co. makes a great imperial stout, but for stouts, can't beat Guiness (nectar of the gods). Guiness and Yuengling porter are good hearty beers fo the colder months, and nut brown ales in the winter are a personal favorite.
Mieke, I like your idea of the nude beer tasting event. Have someone cook up some sausages and hire a band and you would have a perfect day.
As a friend of mine always says. "Life's too short for bad beer."

I'd have to say it's a dead heat between Stella and Alexander Keith's White (with a slice of orange). Both are very refreshing on a hot summers day.

Nakedspark, most liquor/beer stores here now sell Newcastle, have been for a while. Some restaurants also carry it, and some bars have it on tap. If you go to the right shop, you can buy just about any brand here nowadays. So come on over and have pint or two (or more if you are not driving, lol).

Forgot to mention a particular favorite - nut brown ales. Unfortunately, they are only available in the winter. Saranac and Leinenkugels are good, and Sam Adams Winter ale is also good. I'm sure there are others - will have to keep on taste testing.

Definitely Guinness! Guinness is good for you! Guinness is loaded with iron! Guinness is beautiful! Guinness has a sublime taste!

I'm partial to Sam Adams, Pilsner Urquell and if money is tight, Killians Irish Red can't be beat!
Budweiser and the like are OK if there's nothing better (if they don't carry anything better, I'll go somewhere else!)
Don't even get me started on LIGHT BEER! If the only thing good you can say about your beer is that the label turns blue when it's cold, not to mention their newewt gimmic, a cutout window in the case that you can see if the can has "Turned Blue".
