I went to Gunnison today, As I was getting out of the car, another car pulled up to me and a man got out. He was wearing only two triangles of cloth covering the rear and crotch and attached to a narrow waistband. I asked him if he bought it or made it. He said he took an old t-shirt, cut off the bottom and pulled a thin elastic strip through the bottom hem. He then opened the sides and cut away as much as possible without causing indecent exposure. When you are done, you are (just) adequately covered yet completely hanging free underneath.
By the way, even with such minimal coverage he took it off as soon as he was out of sight of the road.
I didn't think of it at the time, but this is really a 2 for 1, since the top of the shirt can be worn as a cropped top when you have to wear a shirt but don't want to.

SteveSep 18, 2023If something can be worn by an in-shape person, I'm not going to judge if it's also worn by an out-of-shape person.

StevieLornaSep 19, 2023
The small loincloth would meet the legal requirements also. Do you also not have a problem with that?
I have never said I have a problem with what people choose to wear, I defend anyones right to where what they like. You can wear a g-string or cut so much leg out a pair of shorts that one bollock hangs out each side, with a top that doesnt go past your nipple. Thats your right thats absolutely fine with me. I just judge that to be weird. Even a fit young guy who chooses to wear an item designed for women Id think is weird. Thats me judging someone, I do that all the time, so does everyone else, all day every day we judge what we see. The only people I dont judge are the people who say they never judge people, because they never judge me (I bet they do though) they dont deserved to be judged.ReactReply - MEMemberSep 19, 2023
Stevie . . . could you repeat that last line? I got lost after the first *judge*. LOL.

But there are plenty of G-strings designed for men. I doubt that many men would be able to get their equipment into one designed for a woman.ReactReply - TD
Tom DOriginal PosterSep 19, 2023Speedo shops used to sell thongs. Not quite as revealing, but close.
More recently I have only seen them on line, mostly at these 2 sites.

I tried G-strings in my pool before I had the privacy fence. Never wore them in public.ReactReply - NUnudeyooperSep 19, 2023
Admitted, they are sold as underwear, but you can get thong bikini style and G-string type at Walmart. Don't know what would make these different from something sold as swimwear, but they would serve as a legal cover up in many places.

FabienneSep 19, 2023
For me the worst part of wearing clothes is having something like a belt around my waist, so I wouldnt like a kilt or loin cloth.
I proposed tying a thin cotton cloth (like a pareo, sarong or bandana) round your hips. If you know how to do it, there's no need to tie it cramped, so it doesn't feel like a belt at all. You wear it quite loose around your pelvis. For me the feeling is quite ok both as "just in need" cover-up as also as skirt for casual wear.ReactReply - TD

If you have to cover up a pair of shorts work fine, with the added advantage of you dont have to look like a swimwear model to pull it off. I realise the OP isnt interested in shorts or a sarong or a towel to cover up, like any normal person would, hes one of the few men who would rather tie a piece of string to a small childs sock and use that. Being a naturist, I think its weird, but its favourite thing to discuss.ReactReply - NUnudeyooperSep 20, 2023
Admitted, they are sold as underwear, but you can get thong bikini style and G-string type at Walmart. My guess is that the type of material makes a difference too, but we were talking about getting to the nude beach from the parking lot and a nudist would not be wearing anything in the water, or if he or she did, would not care about transparency.ReactReply

JimSep 21, 2023I have used a short sarong for years.
They work well for different reasons. Nude hiking its easy to pull from the belt and rap up quickly. Or take off as you get to the nudist area and put it under my belt. No stepping in to something ! My sandals always get caught up in my shorts.
A friend out at the hiking area, had cut the shorts crotch out. It did look more like a skirt after. But the sarong looks like a sarong. And is lite and airy in a breeze !ReactReply - GS
GSNPhilSep 21, 2023I don't think I've ever given much thought to fashion for making a simple transition between parking lot and beach. But I like what was all the rage after the stock market crash and into the great depression. And that rage could use a revival. A wooden barrel, open on both ends, with suspenders. They come in all sizes depending on how much wine you buy, so they fit all body types. No problem getting them on or off either. They just stand there while you hop in with both feet, reach down and raise the suspenders. Reverse the process when you get to the beach and it just stands there waiting until you're ready to leave. Plus, when you go for a swim, it's made of wood and wood floats so it can also be used as a handy dandy PFD. Problem solved. :-)

GSNPhilSep 21, 2023Just trying to remember if I've ever actually seen anyone sportin' a barrel. Probably not. But I'd think it would depend on the size of the person and the size of the barrel. But it wouldn't take a top fashion designer to come up with something to get you from a parking lot to a beach I don't think. With just a saber saw and a little imagination you could start a whole new nude beach fashion trend :-)

They all take the same movement, amount of time to remove when you get to the naturist section. Its not about what you wear, its about the sexual kink you need to feel while identifying as a naturist to get away with it. Stop making your nudity weirder.ReactReply - GS

I think the barrel is a novel concept; it might not be too much so for the fashion conscious but they can figure out their own apparel. Or, as an afterthought, how about the sandwich billboards that are popular in NYC? Find a good sponsor and you might even make a little bit of spare change!!

No need to wear a shirt if you are male and increases the time and effort to get nude,ReactReply
