SjoerdJul 11, 2022Nudism isn't about sex. It's about being comfortable without wearing any clothing, including in social settings, and just enjoying it.
If you start walking around with an erection, you can get yourself in serious trouble in a lot of naturist/nudist venues...ReactReply - TOTom2345Original PosterJul 12, 2022

Stone AndyJul 12, 2022
Any mental focusing exercise to bring the genie out.
Yoga offers a lot of exercises related to breathing and energy connected to the root chakra (perineum) and penis. Tantric yoga focuses on sexual energy. Most understand this in terms of genital-based activities, but it's really related to flow in the whole body, and being the master of your sexual/spiritual/creative energy. This energy is often described in terms of heat and light. Erections are another matter defined by blood flow and engorgement of blood vessels. There's a relationship between the two of course but they are different. Neither nudism nor yoga focus on genitalia, nor do they deny it. Puritanism is very strong in the US and leads to either denying or hyperfocusing on sex, and neither are balanced or serve us well. Genital-focused sexual energy a bit like sugar and children. As adults, men in particular, we need the long sustained sexual energy like protein where sexual energy is stored in our whole body and can be summoned without the titillation of porn, etc. That makes things complex until we realize: it's all a gift.ReactReply - EA
EarlDJul 12, 2022A genuine nudists will not be focused or looking on your penis unless you are getting aroused in which case they would say cover up. The folks on this site who like to spout stuff about sex being natural and non sexual nudity being for prudes have their own agenda.
If a genuine naturist experience is your goal. Just be stop worry about penis size and pay more attention to sharing your personality. Only folks who have limited ability to interact socially outside of sex focus on those things while socially nude.

BillJul 12, 2022I'm glad you're paying attention, Tom, and I appreciate your further clarification. Once you've gotten past your preconceptions, hang-ups and penile worry, you'll have the chance to interact with other nudists and realize that every one of us deals with shrinkage and expansion in the nether region. It's very much a part of being male. Indeed, even the womenfolk have to deal with similar situations concerning nipples that do what they do without regard to their level of excitement. I do a portion of my yoga practice watching an online resource called True Naked Yoga, and I find it quite fascinating that of the hundred or more sessions they offer, I've never seen even a single one of these lovely ladies without fully-extended nipples. I tend to think it has something to do with being on camera, but honestly, I am curious as to why this is the case. It cannot be because they are hired for their constantly turgid nipplish-ness, can it? Regardless, I won't get the answer in here with this thread being in the men's room. Unless of course there are some medically-knowledgeable gents here who would like to weigh in?? So keep asking your questions if you have more, Tom. Alleviating your angst is part of what brings me to this forum. It is important for you to know that you'll see men swinging eight inches soft and guys whose dicks act like turtle heads when you come into a social nude situation. It is part of natural variability in our species. Few seasoned nudists will outwardly judge you, either way you tend to present. I'd like to say nudists are non-judgemental, and we are surely some of the least judgemental of humankind, but it matters not if one is a nude or not - humans will, often unconsciously, assess one another for relational viability when they socialize and before a single word is shared. If you are interested in deepening and broadening your understanding beyond a westernized perspective check out
Tantra Path of Ecstasy by Georg Feuerstein one of the foremost yoga scholars. It has a chapter at the end on The Transmutation of Desire
Here is a quote from the preface.
The paucity of research and publications on the Tantric heritage of Hinduism has in recent years made room for a whole crop of ill-informed popular books on what I have called "Neo-Tantrism."8 Their reductionism is so extreme that a true initiate would barely recognize the Tantric heritage in these writings. The most common distortion is to present Tantra Yoga as a mere discipline of ritualized or sacred sex. In the popular mind, Tantra has become equivalent to sex. Nothing could be farther from the truth!
TroyJul 21, 2022As others have said, and this was my fear when I first started going as well, is simply don't worry about it.
Isn't the brain amazing? Men have ED issues because they fear NOT being able to get hard, so they don't.
Then we fear getting hard, and worry that it could happen any way (and may do so).Every time I'm at a nude resort, I get hard just enough to rise off my thigh if I'm laying down. No big deal, because it's often because I'm "feeling free" and turned on more by that experience than seeing a lovely woman. I've never gotten a full erection but if it was close, I'd just cover up with my towel until it subsides.
I've taken many women to the nude resorts and talk to ladies there as well. Yes, women look just like we look at their bodies (when I notice that actually is something that begins to get me hard actually). However, it's certainly more observational than judgmental, and what comes out of your mouth will have a much larger impact that what's sticking out below.

Stone AndyAug 25, 2022When it comes down to it, erections are not about sex, they're about blood vessels. It's a shame people read so much in to them.
Puritanism runs deep on TN. On one hand you have the "get a room - no boners outside of marriage" nudists and on the other hand (most often the right one) is the cockcentric crowd. I consider both Puritanical as they are extremes of disassociating genitalia as a healthy integral part of the body.
There's a third option to the extremes of covering an erection in shame and beating your meat. It's not making a fuss about it. Simple enough.ReactReply - ST
StevieLornaAug 25, 2022Puritanism was a moment to reform the Church of England and has nothing to do with nudism and I dont see much religious reforming going on here on TN
You are using the word to label members of a nudist website as prudish.
Prudish is a more proper adjective to use for what you are describing.
I disagree, if people regularly go naked with other nudist you can not label them prudes. Its a paradox to do so.
Of the three labels you use to describe nudists, the OP fits into none of the categories. Could I suggest you label him one of the many people on this site who are the . (Look, I have a penis isnt it a wonderful thing. ) group.

Someone needs to start a new thread titled "Penis Adoration" where people can go to adore their own as well as other penises. There should be no penis envy, only adoration. I bet that such a thread would be an instant hit and could lead to members going on cam to show off their penises. After all, the demand for any and all things 'penis' is through the roof and is certainly of interest to the majority here. Forget about plain and simple nudism. It is way too boring. Bring on the penises! Long live the penis! lol Never forget, man can always be reduced to nothing more then a walking penis.

Stone AndyAug 25, 2022
Forget about plain and simple nudism. It is way too boring.
A focus on pure and simple nudism is what the world needs, even if it is boring. How can it be defined? Can it allow a single father and his sons to come to a resort without requiring a woman chaperone or legal documents? Can it account for that penises can become unwilling engorged with blood without any particular intent of the male holder of it? Can it recognize that nudity is no more sexual than taking a shower, but that people are sexual by nature? Can it offer a respectful set of behaviors on how people should behave when naked around others they don't know without being "creepy" or crossing boundaries through something as simple as how people can look at one another? Or is it more of an exclusive nature, like shopping for luxury goods, whereby if you have to ask the price, you don't belong?ReactReply - NUnudeyooperAug 25, 2022The penis, that magical appendage which has caused so much grief among us. Does size matter? Is the shape right? Which way does it curve? Why must it be covered? All questions that really have no answer and covering it does not necessarily satisfy those who think it is ugly, or a weapon used against women.
Back in the 60's very tight jeans were in fashion for guys and school dress codes banned them. One of my classmates asked how tight was too tight, and the answer was, "When they show everything you own." We also had swimsuits that did not act as and anchor. They were just as tight as the jeans but were fine with the school in the pool. Even a covered penis was not accepted if the covering was too revealing. Too revealing to whom? What changed and why? Why have even guys become afraid to have theirs seen or see what hangs on other guys?ReactReply - EA
EarlDAug 25, 2022When people say things link erections are about blood vessels I feel it is a false flag used to justify sexual exhibitionism in nudism. Urination is about full bladders and defecation a about full colons but some how most of us manage to control both of those bodily functions even when we are naked. Most people and genuine nudists dont just start peeing or pooping anywhere and everywhere in public.
How come some think that the male erection is the one natural bodily function that is exempt from any control.
What gives.

Stone AndyAug 26, 2022
How come some think that the male erection is the one natural bodily function that is exempt from any control. What gives.
My online results define exhibitionism as 1) a mental condition characterized by the compulsion to display one's genitals in public or 2) extravagant behavior that is intended to attract attention to oneself. In this regard, let's define "public" as a "textiles who don't think nudity is appropriate," or else we need to consider all nudists exhibitionists. The second definition of exhibitionists is centered around extravagant attention seeking behavior. I remember in high school I'd get an erection just about every time I yawned. Whereas that's no longer an issue, I can attest to the fact that 1) it was beyond my control and 2) it wasn't motivated by extravagance or attention seeking. Are men exhibitionist by nature because they get aroused by nature? Then we might as well either keep our pants on or not make a big deal of them as the bearer or the observer.ReactReply
