For those of you guys that had your pubic hair permanently removed, do you have any regrets?

  The shaved look is more popular than ever right now. I don't think you have anything to worry about. It will take many sessions to get nearly hairless. You may not notice any change until after 3-4 sessions, at which time it will be more of a thinning. You may find your happy spot at that time.

  Even after many more sessions, there will still be hair growth, it will just be a lot slower and a lot finer.

They have seen it all and I have never gotten a comment about no pubic hair. I did however work in a restaurant, in a situation of 1 man to 8 women, the ladies talk sex way more than any group of men I have been in. So this subject came up, Most said not only did they prefer the clean look but they also liked not have hair in their food (BJ) ;-)

  I don't expect anybody would notice and if they did they wouldn't be rude enough to comment so where is the problem.
  By the time your date sees it she will have made up her mind about you so it won't make any difference.

  Exactly, who are you doing it for? If you are still worried, shave for a year or two and see if anybody notices it and says anything and then decide.

Obviously, I should do it for myself and not for others, like you said. And I've been shaving consistently for over 10 years. I love it and want it gone permanently now not only to eliminate the extra work, but to get rid of the annoying stubble. I went to the nude beach a few times and always freshly shaved when I went. It was great because most people at the nude beach were shaved- both male and female. So I felt that I fit right in. In fact, I probably would've felt more embarrassed if I didn't shave. And many girls have seen me shaved. A couple of girls have complimented it. But it was only a couple... majority just didn't say or notice anything. I have yet to receive a negative reaction about it. The ONLY thing I haven't tried is going to my physician and staying shaved. I've always grown my pubic hair every time I go for my annual checkup. I just felt embarrassed about having him see me without pubes. However, I did go to this dermatologist once for the first time and it was just some skin problem on my face. So I went there shaved because I was only going in for the area on my face, so I didn't think I had to strip nude. But to my surprise, she wanted to do a full body skin exam. So she had me strip to my underwear and during the exam, she pulled down my underwear to take a quick peak down there and that was it. No reaction or comment, to my surprise. So I probably am overthinking this because maybe my physician will be the same way as my dermatologist and will just not react or say anything about it.

  Im experienced as both a hair removal patient and provider. I have never regretted doing it and really enjoy the effect personally and in my partners.

  Something that people need to understand is that the process is not instantaneous and you can effectively choose how much reduction you want.

  As a physician I see all kinds of people and see how they groom or dont groom their pubes. The vast majority groom their pubes, gay, straight, bi ,male ,female, liberal and conservative. My most conservative patients are the Muslims and even they shave smooth. They wont let me see them completely naked but they shave completely bald most of the time. If someone does not groom or shave, I infer that they are not sexually active and when I see a mature guy who keeps it smooth I assume he is still sexually active.

  I used most methods over the years, but finally went laser. No regrets apart from why didn't I start sooner. I have some white hairs that laser will never get rid off. I think I will need to get a touch of electrolysis done.

  In 1999 I had a vasectomy and had to shave my testicles. I loved the smooth feeling of them and it wasn't long before I trimmed my pubes down tight, then I moved onto shaving in designs, to totally smooth to just a small patch above my penis. Most girls remarked and liked it, in 2002 I had a GF and I was shaved except for a wide landing strip, we split up for a few weeks and got back together, in those weeks I totally shaved smooth. The night we got back together we were having make up sex, she loved to give me oral, within 20 seconds she lifted her head and said ohhhh I see you shaved smooth I love it... So from that point on I was mostly smooth except for a small patch of hair over my penis here and there.. In late 2010 I was dating a girl, we were 69ing, I thought she was real smooth, so I jump out of the 69, tell her to lay on her back and go in for a closer inspection ;-). I've never experienced anything that felt that soft with any other girl I was pleasuring. I asked her what kind or razor she used and she said "None I had laser hair removal 4 years ago" I made my appointment the following week... Best money I've ever spent..... It took like 8 treatments to completely remove everything, only down side I couldn't tan nude for that time frame, they said the laser works off of the darker pigment and they didn't want to take a chance of the laser scaring my pubic area. The feeling is totally amazing, feels like the inside of the palm of your hand..... I had the same response from the girls I gave her after that, the now wife loves the look and feeling so much, she told her brother in law he should do it, "my sister will love it" LOL That was 12 years ago, had to go on testosterone so I need a touch up, the hormone makes the hair grow, very slow and fine but it sprouts back a little.
  
  Will girls think it's weird? Nope, they all liked it, 95% were already smooth themselves and the other 5% after the first time with me either completely shaved themselves or asked me to shave them.
  
  If I shower at a men's locker room, would they think it's weird? Nope, Most guys go shave or trim tightly, I'd say more guys shave smooth...
  
  If I visit the doctor, will he think it's weird and/or say anything? Been to the doctors several times since I had laser and no one have ever said anything except, great tan LOL
  
  BEST THING I EVER DID!!!! NO REGRETS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

  Thanks for sharing your story. Yeah, the fact of the matter is, I need to do this for myself. And I REALLY want to do this for myself. Pleasing others is a bonus, of course, but my main reason is because of my preference of how it looks and feels on myself.
  
  Another thing that's hesitating me is because I can't help but feel that maybe I'm doing something "wrong." I guess it's just a stupid society thing. What exactly is "wrong" with it? I'm not harming anyone. So I should just do it. Because I feel I'm going to regret more NOT doing it.

  You should start seeing some results after 3 sessions (each 2 weeks apart). You won't see major results until at least 6 sessions. As we are approaching summer in the Northern Hemisphere, remember you can't allow the skin to be treated to tan beyond what the safety lock-out will allow (Don't try and bypass it, you will just damage the skin as it will start to absorb the energy from the laser).
  
  After 3 - 4 months, you should notice a significant reduction in number and thickness of dark hairs. At this point, you may have to go 3-4 weeks between treatments, eventually getting to where you just need to do spot treatments every so often. IPL will have no effect on lighter (white) hairs.

  Shaved ( chest and pubes) for years, it was more comfortable and I prefer that look. Dated and met female friends nude and the only comment I got was that it must be hard work.
  Some liked that look, others prefer hair but I was doing what I liked. My advise, do what you like...others will except that.

  Trimmed and shaved for years, at gym in the showers no one bothers.
  I work in health care and can assure you no one bothers one way or the other if you have pubes or not.

  If you will feel better going permanently smooth, go for it. You can never control what others say, much less think. Who knows, for every vocal naysayer, there may be someone else who quietly admires your smoothness. Anyway, you live with the smoothness 24/7, not them, so it's best you go with your preference. Just my two cents' worth. I'm proud to be permanently smooth, so nope, no regrets at all.

  I often but not always shave my pubic area and it would not occur to me that it made any difference whether I was shaved or not when seeing the doctor. Not sure how it is in the US but in the UK it would be considered inappropriate for a medical professional to pass judgement on someone's personal choice to shave or not. Or for that matter their choice to have tattoos, body art, genital piercings or whatever. It's strictly none of their business.

  I have been smooth for many years. I'm not extremely hairy so I just shave once a week. Personally I love the look and feel. I've never had anyone comment on my body being hairless. I do have a tattooed penis as well as a couple genital piercings and those do get comments. I've had several doctors, male and female, see me naked and none said anything.

  Well, just to provide an update, I don't think the IPL device is working on me. I've used it everyday for two weeks already and still getting a lot of hair growth. I'm barely noticing any hair reduction. I have very dark, coarse pubic hair, so it can't be the light hair color, that's for sure. I've even got to the highest level (level 6) where I feel the rubber band snap and get that burning smell when I use the device. And still getting A LOT of hair growth.

  Maybe these devices work on women, but maybe due to my high hormones, I don't think these devices can really kill the hair follicles on me.

  Most home IPL devices operate at lower (safer) levels and take more time to show results.
