Shaving for nude beach

  All the comments suggesting its a must is precisely why I avoid official nudist beaches and in fact any official nudist events. I leave everything natural but fear being judged negatively for doing so. Should just be a personal choice

I like having hair and it's my body, my choice.

Never shave and never feel that I need to when going to nude beach.

  Nothing shaved here, I show my bush proudly. After all, nudism is natural, isn't it? Point is to not get sucked in by superficial or unnecessary grooming other than good hygiene.

  Surely its a matter of choice....your choice! Its about how you feel...its your body!!
  Anyone can offer advice on how 'they' feel about hairiness/smoothness....but as Naturists aren't we supposed to be all accepting and welcoming...so scars and stretch marks, huge breasts and micro cocks dont matter...why should body hair?
  One thing is for sure, unless you get it all lazered off....it will come back. And you decided everything about it.
  Personally...I keep trimmed and tidy...have one friend who looks like a Silverback gorilla he's SO hairy....yet 2 others are complete smoothies...we all accept eachothers decisions.....makes for interesting discussions though!!

  I'm totally smooth, but that's my choice, just as staying totally natural is someone else's choice. It should be up to us individually to decide how we want to look, and we should be accepted for that choice. Live and let live. :-))

  I don't understand why this topic has generated 30+ pages of posts over a 3 year period. Is it because it is a topic of particular importance to nudists? Is it because one's personal choice on the subject becomes apparent when clothes are removed? Have people had very bad experiences due to their appearance? For me, I have opted for both choices over many years and have received zero negativity either way. Opinions or answers sincerely appreciated.

  How do you deal with razor bumps or ingrown hairs? I like to keep smooth also, but find I get bumps. Looking for any ideas on how to prevent.

  I never shaved until 1999, I went and had a vasectomy done, the Dr said I had to shave my testicles for the procedure and if I didn't want to do it myself they would on the day of the procedure. I shaved 2 days before and really liked the smooth feel. After surgery it looked a little strange with smooth balls and a big bush. I trimmed it down and liked the look. One day I was shaving my balls and decided to keep going and leave like a 2-3 inch strip. Well the smoothness felt better and through the years of different designs I went smooth... In 2010 I had laser hair removal and now it's supper smooth. I didn't shave for the beach or when I went to resorts. I did it for me...... I liked the feel and look, I personally could care less what people think about me.. Your choice

  Whether shaving for the beach or for the local club I find I can get a reasonable trim round the base of my penis with a razor and scissors, but always struggle to remove the hair round my balls easily. I hate it to have a neat looking penis at the top, only to spoil the look below with straggly bits. My wife doesn't want to do it for fear of cutting me. Although she doesn't mind me shaving her pubic hair all off. I wonder is there a cream that is safe to use on my balls, as I have heard of some men having disastrous results when using ordinary ladies hair remover. I want to keep on having the clean, not bald look, mainly because if I let the pubic hair grow it becomes rather a thick bush. It covers at least an inch or more of the base of my penis and dramatically reduces the apparent length. That extra inch & a half makes all the difference.

  I am always completely shaved from the neck to my ankles, so it does not matter where I go I am smooth. I like the way it looks and feels.
