Shorter Shorts — The Mens Room on True Nudists

Some of my gym shorts are wearing out so I ordered 2 new pair yesterday.
Since our grandson is here more and I am going less places that expect better dress, my gym shorts have seen a lot of use lately
My current supply has inseams in the 8" (20 cm) range, well above the knee but not really short.
Wanted to try something shorter so I ordered one pair with a 4" inseam and one with 5".
Will be fine at home, but don't know how it will work when I eventually get back to the gym. One of the reviewers called them the ideal work at home uniform. I suspect most of us would disagree and say that the ideal at home work uniform is nothing at all!

Most of my shorts are just long enough so as not to see anything hanging out.

The gym shorts that I wear have a 2" inseam. I only wear them at the gym.

I hate the longer shorts for everyday bumming around. I have bought some cheap shorts at outlet stores and cut them off and cut out the liners. I've ordered some Nike running shorts and cut out the liners. My wife came up with the idea of finding women's pull on shorts that are cut shorter that I can wear and you wouldn't know they were women's. I wear them around home when I need to wear anything and a quick run to the store maybe.

My workout outfit is compression tights, compression shirt or a rash guard and five finger shoes. It has proven to work very well, packsize is very small and it is accepted in every gym I ever visited. Of course I would rather not wear clothes at all when lifting weights but finding a clothes optional gym seems to be impossible. A Shirt optional-policy is not uncommon in CrossFit boxes and climbing gyms.[/quote] You could reduce your workout clothing slightly by wearing a minimal string tank. I often do. Ever tried it?

How short do you cut them?[/quote] I have various lengths. Some are too short to go out to a store but ok for around the house. Usually they are just long enough to keep from falling out of.

I don't use a gym but these are typical of the shorts which I wear generally in public including shopping and on public transport.

I found some swim trunks with a four inch inseam which I wear while working in the yard. The mesh liner is still intact, and even if removed, I would not worry about them exposing too much. I am not that long and when sitting my leg really fills up the opening.

The 5" shorts arrived yesterday. Our grandson complained as soon as he saw me wear them. I don't care. When my sons would complain about my short shorts or brief swimsuits I would tell them if they didn't like them I would take them off. That ended the complaints quickly!

I've seen lists of things that some young whippersnapper put together to shame our baby boom generation into getting cool by their standard. Truth is that we don't care what they think. I'd suggest that the next complaint be answered with the even bolder move of beginning the removal.

i have an older pair of Eddie Bauer shorts I got and wear everywhere. But usually wife (not a nudist and not into) objects and says the 70's wants their shorts back. I laugh and keep wearing them - usually without underwear. I have a pair of holely short shorts just for going to nude beach and another pair worn out and with tons of made holes I also wear without underwear. Let it all hang out.

The longest inseam I have on any of my shorts is 4 inches and its been that way for decades. I refuse to wear longer shorts and will make any I have last as long as possible until I am able to find new ones. I have a few that are nylon gym shorts but others that are more like cargo pants with pockets in front and back, an extra pocket on the lower outside of the front pocket, and belt loops. I found the latter shorts at Cabelas a couple years ago. As one pair is starting to wear Im keeping my eyes open more to find some new ones. And yes, I wear them everywhere including church and have never had any comment or strange looks. I know other guys that wear shorts all the time (a couple even in winter) and some of them prefer what wed say are real shorts. Ive even heard longer ones called longs because some of us just cant consider them to be shorts.

Not ready to go that short for dress short, since I don't wear underwear.
However, after only 2 days of wearing snug 5" gym shorts, I don't intend to buy anything longer again.
Only decision is whether to replace the longer ones I have or wait until they wear out.

Other short shorts arrived yesterday. Inseam is closer to 5" than the advertised 4".
Still much more comfortable than the 8" I have been wearing at snug enough on the thighs to avoid accidental exposure.

I have a pair of old ,very thin material, faded glory black shorts I wear when I just have to wear something. I actually got them at a goodwill store. Bought them simply because of how thin they were. When working on the house I just keep them close enough to slip them on if someone comes by. Dont like anything that will soak up the sweat while working. Much rather it just roll down my skin and drip off!
