Smooth/Hairy Nudist Men

I have made a curious observation that I would be interested in hearing from others about. In meeting other nudist guys in person, and again when seeing the guys here on TN, it appears that most nudist men have smooth bodies with little to no hair. Am I just dreaming that? I am a hairy guy and enjoy nudism, but from appearances, it would seem that I am in the minority. My assumption is that the male nudist population would mirror the general population in regard to ratio of smooth to hairy men represented. It doesn't seem to be the case. I would be interested in your perspective: Are most nudist men smooth and not hairy? Why is this the case? Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Ive been shaving since I was 28 years oldfor the last 3 or 4 years Ive been shaving from the top of my pubic area to my butt hole. I dearly love the way it feels.I shave just about every day. Then every day if Im staying at a nudist resort. Im seriously think about having that whole area lazored. Not sure if I can afford it.

You've probably had a lot of replies to this and you it's been on the site for yrs.

In my case I wish I was hairy. I was always smooth and wanted to look more manly.. I loved being naked with a hairy man and rubbing his body over mine. I used to cum thinking about it when I was younger. I'm of the opinion that men shouldn't shave themselves. It's more natural and sexy. My preference x

It does seem that many nudist men, especially in photos online or in resorts, appear to be mostly smooth or minimally hairy. But in my experience meeting people in person, theres actually a wide range from completely smooth to very naturally hairy and everything in between.

What might explain the online impression?

    * Visibility bias: Smooth-bodied men may be more likely to post photos, either due to personal confidence or because they believe thats whats more accepted or aesthetic.
    * Cultural grooming trends: Some people, especially younger generations or those influenced by fitness/media culture, prefer a hairless look and that spills into nudist spaces.
    * Comfort or hygiene reasons: Some nudists choose to trim or remove hair because it feels cooler, cleaner, or helps with sweat management in hot climates.

That said, natural is natural. Hairy or smooth, what matters most in the nudist lifestyle is authenticity and comfort in your own skin. And from what Ive seen, the best people in this community arent judging your grooming style theyre appreciating the courage it takes to show up just as you are.

Thanks for opening up the conversation Id love to hear what others have experienced, too!

I definitely prefer to be smooth. It started about 30 years ago when my then wife asked me to trim my pubes and that led to shaving them. I now get waxed from my neck to my knees.

I personally seasonally adjust the man fur - during the spring/ early summer i have almost all my body hair completely removed. That's also when I see my dermatologist, it lets him check me over completely checking for skin abnormalities or cancers without having to look through my bearish body hair. After about August 15th I stop the hair removal so I can have my winter coat to wear.

Ive been smooth for many years also. A former girlfriend was and suggested I try it.
I did and have been that way since. A majority of the people I have seen at nude beaches and clubs are as well.

My lover and I both have kept our bodies completely hairless from nose to toes for over 25 years. He and I don't like the look or feel of body hair on ourselves or each other and prefer the hairless look on others as well - male or female.

...I'm naturally hairless. I like hairy men possibly because I'm not hairy. I have lots of hair on my head and can grow a good beard but non on my chest or legs. I don't know why guys shave all their hair off. I like masculine men especially older with hair

Last time i was at Haulover Beach, myself and one other male, the only two NOT smooth. I dont ever remember being smooth. Gillette does not make enough razors to keep me smooth

I am in the minority but I am ok with that. And I am in a sub minority of that - a ginger!!!!

I am a hirsute male and proud of it

I find myself shaving in summer and letting it grow or trim it short during winter. I don't have alot of body hair to begin with and it is pretty light color hair so it don't present hairy either way.

I think everyone is accepted here. Amount of hair varies a lot both naturally and by cutting and shaving.

If you want to do a wider survey, check out the "Gallery". Set the filter to "men" and possibly "recent". There are hundreds of pictures people have posted.

We would hope that being nudists, we wouldn't be judging anyone on their body in the first place. Because that's not what it's about.
Now if a dude decides to shave because he just likes the look, or likes the feel of it, so be it.
But if a guy wants to remain unshaved, who cares?
I have bushy pubes, and most of the guys I've met prefer it.
I met one guy asked why I don't at least trim.
It's hardly out of control and doesn't look bad in the first place. That's just someone casting their preferences on others.
But I've had guys I've dated give me the heads up that they have a hairy chest, and is that cool. Because they have met guys who don't like hairy chests.
Conversely there are those who like hairy men.
You should be allowed to do whatever you would like with the appearance of your body, and if someone doesn't like it, they can look elsewhere. Because there will be enough guys who like you just as you are.

I stay extremely clipped up across entire body most of the year, definitely in the summer time. I used to compete in triathlons all the time and almost everyone in that world shaves their bodies, you know so we can swim, bike and run faster. Anyways ever since then Ive grown to like little to no hair on my body.
