I am wondering why some men prefer to shave their pubic hair. I know some will say because they like to look, feel etc, or their significant other likes the look/feel etc. But, especially for the older nudists, I wonder how many shave to hide the fact that they are getting gray down there and are trying to remail youthful looking.
Just a thought.
I myself have trimmed before, but not shaved at I don't forsee enjoying the maintenance of being shaved, i,e, I am too lazy.
Thoughts?

gabareJun 3, 2011well if it was for the gray hair i'd shave the top of my head, there seems to be alot of feedback and some negative about smooth men but not smooth women whats the difference it all skin. i pesonally think the human body looks beautiful smooth and without hair that looks like a bear it also tans better. i will be a smoothie forever.

I have no chest hair (naturally) so I feel completely free with no pubic hair. I sleep naked so having no hair around my balls makes me feel more clean & healthy also.

Only gently skim over the skin, the goal is to trim the hair, not shave to the skin level. Trimmers will cut your skin if you aren't careful. 2nd pass is to use regular electric shaver. Braun is the best, few nicks/cuts. The scrotum are pretty hardy and can take regular shaving pressure. The penis itself requires very careful action to prevent cuts. If you cut yourself use alcohol topically to prevent infection. It hurts like hell, but only lasts 1 minute. Secret is not to cut yourself in the first place:-) First few times you may get shave rash/burn. That passes once you have shaved for a week or so. Aplying mosturizing cream directly after shaving helps prevent itching and rash. Daily maintenance shaving only requires the electric shaver and takes less than a minute, no need for the trimmer anymore, unless you let it get wild again.ReactReply - BR

caster1Jun 28, 2011Usually I just keep it trimmed tight, but lately started using the groomer and getting the smooth look. Shaving caused to much irritation.
I like the smooth look and feel, no chest hair and my heads going bald as well, so why have hair on the pubes and nowhere else?ReactReply - BI

I shave my testicles and shaft of the penis and trim my pubic hair. I do it cause I like the feeling plus am very hairy below and sweat a lot so makes it easy on me especially in the summer months.

RudistNudistJul 4, 2011I shave because in my religion, Islam, it is required of a believer to shave what is between his legs meaning the pubic hair. It is done in my religion out of cleanliness and nothing more. It helps reduce impurities like urine and feces. So I'm basically protecting myself from impurities when I shave my pubic hair off and it makes me feel cleaner as well.

First the title should be why smooth, as there are many ways to remove hair. When I met my husband he was smooth, I did like the look, and feel, which is why he does it, I am also smooth because we love it that way. I know my husband started to get tired of constantly shaving, so he took up waxing, he now stays smooth for weeks, and regrowth is less and the hair is thinner each time. Of note, my husband was the first man I saw smooth, and after ten years together, if something were to happen I am not sure I could be with anyone who is not.

Well yes I like the way it looks,,,,,, after I got use to it..... a few years ago.... 2 I think it will draw more attention and the ladies can see more penis instead of bunch of hair. 3. I think a shaved penis will make a small penis look larger.. I think I have a small penis.. But,,,,, I think it is a good looking one....And of course I I like the ladies to look at it. So I shave my penis in an effort to make it look bigger trying to empress the ladies.... icetannedJul 10, 2011I like the smooth sensual feel of being fully shaved down there,otherwise have always been very hairy there and some complaints when younger that they hated all that bush. So it is a personal thing and yep am 60 but no gray there either
