Naked hiking has to be one of the most pleasant activities to engage in. No clothes, the air all around you, the weather is a tactile presence as you rise and fall with the hills and valleys. Your awareness of nature, our environment, our little piece of space, is so heightened by hiking naked through mountains and forests and experiencing the wind and sun all over, as the day waxes and wanes all around us. Textiles have no idea what they're missing. Try it today, or maybe this year for the first time: http://www.naktiv.net/newt
I totally agree with this post. We have been naked hiking for 34+ years and plan to do it for the next 34. Thanks for the link. A very enjoyable read. May God continue to bless you with wonderful trails to hike, nude!

I'm hoping to get some hiking in this year. There's no greater feeling of freedom, than to walk naked through the hills and mountains on a warm summers day.
I love naked hiking too, you just can't beat the feeling. looking forward to better weather over here so i can get back out to the great outdoors.
I wouldn't like to hike naked where you are, right now. I've been in Dundee in at this time of the year and nearly got frostbite on the haggis. I didn't know such cold winds existed anywhere in th UK.

We use some of the rail trails that have been converted to trails. Wether you bike or hike they go for miles. When they cross a river you can hike the rivers edge around the corner and find a nice sandbar to layout and skinny dip.

I love it and have been doing so for several years here in Bama. It won't be long and the weather will be right to get out on the trails again. Can't wait. Randall0963

I've been nude hiking over the years.  Naked according to the dictionary has a vulnerability that I don't have when nude and just enjoying the air on me.

Doing just about anything nude is more relaxing.

I'd love to go nude hiking, just not sure where I could get away with it. I'm in eastern PA about 15 minutes from the Appalachian Trail, although there's a lot of state game lands.

We hike or bike naked as much as we can, usually a couple times a week in summer.  Wish we were in AZ to do it now.

Eddie, I'm like you have been wondering the woods nude since I was 10 years old. I have found that trying to get a big truck close the woods is not easy though. But I do find my nude time where I can!!

Has anyone hiked nude anywhere near south western North Carolina / Northern Georgia? Is it legal in the National Parks/forests?

We have 4 acres of woods on our property.  Some day, I'd love to make a trail or two in there.

There are state and county parks all over the state (IA) that I have enjoyed nude hikes.  One of the benefits of traveling the state for work and spending my lunch breaks and times between appointments hiking and sunning.
Thanks Cheri. I plan to visit Serendipity this summer when up at our cabin. It looks like a nice place. It's only an hour away. How about Paradise Valley in N. Georgia. Anyone been there.

Use lots of deet.  There is a brand that is 100% deet.  Nothing lands on you.  I went nude hiking on the Florida Greenway several years ago and the horse flies were out in force.  I had a 100% deet repellent on and none of them landed.

I live in Morrisville, Pennsylvania (SE PA) and don't have anywhere to go atm, except a small area where no one goes at night, well away from any homes. It's alright for now, but I'd love to meet someone who lives at least within biking distance to go hiking with.

I like gathering..seeking more like.. seasonal mushrooms, which for the most is off trail. Sometimes I get the urge to move more like the wind in the woods and my ankles took a beating.
I bought a pair of knee high moccasins that have worked well, although they're a bit slick on dry leaves/slopes of course.
Budi love being able to feel the earth beneath my feet with mocs on...trails in the dark of night sensing the hump/divvy whatever present is kinda heady stuff.

I just did a 5.5 mile hike along a local river, in N Idaho. 4.5 miles was in the nude. I use a back pack to carry my stuff and it hangs down far enough in the back to cover my buns. If I see someone coming (which I did not, today) I just stop and turn around and slip on my shorts. When I told my wife she said that that was quite risky and that it was no fair because I was getting ahead on the tan. LOL It looks like a great weather weekend coming up so we will head for Sun Meadow and get some good outdoor naked time and some good skinny-dipping time.  YIIIPPPEEEE!!!

Just went out today at Knobs park in KY, If there is anyone on the Louisville/Ft.Knox are that knows of better, safer trails please let me know.  I am going to be here for the next 2 months and would like to get out more.  Todays hike was nice about 2 Miles total solitude, even got to lay out in the sun for about an hour and a half.  I started of with shorts and a t-shirt but when the shirt was soaked I decided to go au-naturel, very exhilerating and freeing of ones worries (other than running into other hikers).
