GrantAug 28, 2013Its just so " NATURAL"!ReactReply - SUsunnmaxxSep 5, 2013There are many county parks I hike at on a regular basis but I still really like biking more. We have a lot of rail trails here in the midwest (IA) so I just head to a rural section and leave my shorts on the handlebars. Most of the time I can see a half mile ahead and if anyone is coming I pull over and jump into the shorts but that has only happened a few times in hundreds of rides. Wife and I used to ride evre sun evening down to a restaurant, eat and head back naked. On a hot summer nite, there's nothing like it.ReactReply

NudeJohnnySep 5, 2013
Hmmm! Posts 79 (NudeLife87) and 80 (ATLdavis) are duplicate posts from two different people. How did that happen?
hmmmmm? ATLdavis deleted the duplicate post. Veerrry interesting.ReactReply - SUsunnmaxxSep 12, 2013Scheduled a meeting tomorrow about 100 miles away and plan to visit a favorite rail trail on the way back fora nude ride.ReactReply
- SUsunnmaxxSep 23, 2013Had a great ride on the trail but almost hit a young deer when it wondered out of the brush. That's the second close encounter I've had with deer biking naked.ReactReply

atldavisSep 27, 2013Was able to get in some naked strolls on the beach last weekend. They were a bit too leisurely to call them hikes, but the strolls were long enough to get some good exercise and sun.ReactReply - MEMemberOct 28, 2013I also like totally bare hiking (barefoot too) when possible. Beaches are great, and grass also feels good underfoot. But it is more practical to wear shoes or boots, and to carry a bag. I live not far from the previous poster, in Nottinghamshire, and often walk in woodland, where the surface has many hazards for bare feet. So I wear shoes and carry a backpack, which contains my shirt, car keys, watch, phone, towel to sit on, water and food. I usually put my shorts between my back and the pack, so that I can grab them and put them on in seconds if necessary.
This is all very practical, but not so aesthetically pleasing. I am not properly naked, and I had not appreciated until I saw photographs of myself in this kit how silly a naked man looks in chunky walking boots. Fortunately, I long ago gave up worrying about my dignity.ReactReply - NUnudderbutterJun 5, 2015
Going to drag this topic back from the dead it seems, Just wanted to share my enjoyment and excitement. I finally found a new place that I am able to go hiking with enough seclusion and enough foliage to be able to throw my shorts on fast if I have to. I only passed one other person on the trail. Oh it was so nice feeling the warmth of the sun throughout my hike and it helped to keep me cooler without all the damn clothes.

ManOfWicklowJun 5, 2015The sanity of some posters on here is questionable, regarding their lack of common sense. How idiotic can anyone be to hike barefooted ?ReactReply - SH

KeithJun 6, 2015When I was back in Oz earlier this year my wife and I used to walk the river trails around where we were staying. My hiking attire was a short beach wrap and sandels, it might have looked funny but who cares i was as close to being nude as i could due to the location and the multitude of other walkers and bicycle riders of all ages. The wife wore shorts and top. so as to not look different unlike me.

If the trail I was on was a sandy trail or some other sort of smooth/soft surface I would have gone barefoot however given the rocks twigs and other forest things yes it was best to go with shoes on

J.Jun 16, 2015Not a major hike, but we are getting ready to head out to the point next to Orient Beach. It is more active than sitting in our lounge chairs commenting on the lookie-loos walking down the nude beach from the latest cruise ship du jour.

NickJun 17, 2015I was never a huge fan of hiking until I started hiking nude. It completely changed hiking for me. I enjoy the feel of the wind all around me. One of my favorite things to do it to go to one of the trails we have out this way during a light rain and just hike. It's a new experience.

I never really liked dancing, until we started going to nude dances at the different resorts we go to. Now my wife has to drag me off the dance floor! Bowling, cleaning up around the house and even shopping go from lets get this over with to can't wait to start and don't want to end! (Well, cleaning isn't that exciting, but it is better when nude)ReactReply - DA
daves_ndtJun 24, 2015Its not just the trail surface that can be a problem. One time we decided to go barefoot (and naked) along a beach-side trail. It was basically all sand so no issues, or so we thought. We didn't go too far, maybe a mile or so to where the trail ended. On the return we found that the sand had heated up so much that it was burning our feet. We had to literally run from shady spot to shady spot.

silverback3May 22, 2016I have recently started hiking nude. I know there is a nude group hike on the summer solstice in VT on the AT. Anyone know more about it? I would like to attend.ReactReply - CH
ChuckJun 23, 2016Well today will be the first time in almost a month that I get to head back up into my Missouri woods after all the rain and a couple of road trips !! It will feel good just to be by myself in the woods where no one bothers me!! I think my wife would enjoy the nude time, if I could just get her over this modesty she has about her body!! Not going to press her or try and force her into something she's not comfortable with!!ReactReply - NUnudeyooperAug 8, 2016Have only done it once while out with the dogs where they could run loose. Never saw another person on the trail before, but the day I decided to travel while nude a man and woman appeared in the distance and I was alerted by the dogs. I don't know if they recognized that I was nude, and nothing indicated that they had when we passed, but by that time I had my shorts back on.ReactReply
