Nov 6, 2012I have been to their homepage, or at least the one that i can find from all other sources and links. It is rather bare, but has some information. Like a few little news articles, an application form and email and phone number. The email address always returns as undelivered. I have yet to try the number, but since the email address isn't current, I can't imagine the number to be current. I have filled out the application form and would love to submit it and talk about a local membership, but can't seem to get a hold of anyone.
Does anyone here know anyone that is a member? Or possible have an email address I can attempt to contact someone at? I just would like to meet up with some local area nudists for friendships and for people to do things with that are like minded.

FlokieNov 6, 2012Try the number. You have to remember that non-landed groups are just a bunch of folks who like to get together naked. They rarely have a webmaster on call to update their webpage and often the volunteers who have the free time to organize things are older and may or may not be computer savvy. Now, for all I know the club is defunct but at least try the number.

Edit: I just checked the American Association of Nude Recreation website (www.aanr.com) and they still list the Tumbleweeds as a club which means someone is paying their dues to AANR. This is the club phone number they have posted 541-390-3858.ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterNov 6, 2012
Thank's. I will give the number a call in the morning. It would be sad if they all disbanded. Central Oregon has so much to offer and the summers are just amazing. I know I am not alone down here, but finding others is a tricky battle that is always uphill. The problem is the closest actual club is 2.5 hours away. Makes it impossible for an afternoon in the sun with friends with half the day spent driving to and from. Was hoping to find these guys and make some friends for lunch's and dinner and afternoons of good times.

[/quote]The new Club listing sent to other clubs lists them and a different phone # 541/390-3858. Clubs do NOT pay AANR. Members pay the clubs the dues and transmit them to AANR. There are 6 nonlanded AANR affiliated clubs in Oregon.
Not all AANR nonlanded clubs are "just a bunch of folk." The only difference between viable nonlanded and landed clubs are the piece of property. The administration headaches are the same. I've been doing that for 28 years. I'm 65 yrs. old and have been using computers since 1987 and in fact, have the same email address.ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterNov 7, 2012

It wasn't my intention to belittle the efforts of any naturist clubs or dedicated organizers like yourself I don't have a "home" club (closest is a 9 hour drive) so I make a point of visiting clubs when I travel and over the years I've found that many have excellent websites and methods of communication and others do not.
