I joined a few groups here at True Nudists after becoming a member with whom I shared common beliefs or geographical proximity.  But now I’d like to take that a step further, harnessing the networking availability of a True Nudists group by establishing an actual non-landed nudist group for residents of the North Texas and DFW Metroplex area.

There is a non-landed group in the Dallas area but at the present time they are allowing only couples to join.  I do understand why a quota system is enforced by some clubs to achieve gender parity but this of course limits singles like me from enjoying a vibrant nudist community membership.  There are singles-friendly groups in Texas but the closest ones for me are in the Austin and Houston areas which given the distance would not be communities I could be very active in.

As an alternative I decided to launch a new group, North Texas Naturists (NTN) here on True Nudists with the hope that it can develop into a real non-landed club for interested North Texas nudist residents.  NTN is proposed as a club for adult (18+) couples and singles and will not have any gender parity quota system.  Hopefully, there will be sufficient interest in the area to sustain a new non-landed club that will grow and provide an enjoyable experience for those of us interested in participating in social nudity.

Please take a look at the new group and join if you are interested in participating.

Thanks Phil and thanks for adding the link!  So far NTN has not been exactly inundated with membership applications. LOL  But I’m hopeful enough interested people can be found to establish a viable group.

Why don't you ask him to announce your new group (with a link to the group) on a bulletin to them, maybe you could get aplusdan to do it too, and you could do the same in a post on the Texas group forum.     Phil.

Hey thanks Phil!  Excellent ideas!  I'll message them both and ask if they would be willing to do a bulletin.  We have already doubled in size since my last post so even though we are growing exponentially, we could always squeeze in a few more members! LOL

I will be happy to post a bulliten about your group.  It sounds like a good group but I an a lot further south, between Houston and Austin.  I have friends from chat room who are in Dallas area and am sure they would be interested.

Yes, Phil things have really taken off and I'm really excited about the prospects!  Out the outset I had planned on trying to organize an outing once we had ten members and as of today we are almost there.  I think we will be able to get something organized soon and it will be great to have a good group of nudists to share the lifestyle and socialize with.  Thanks for all of your wonderful suggestions and able assistance!

Drop me a mail nearer the time, I'm sure we could sort something out (if you don't mind eating lettuce :) just kidding, I do also eat tomatoes too! Phil.

This post is intended primarily for the membership of the North Texas Naturists (NTN) group.  Out of the ten who have joined, I still have email addresses for only five members (including me) and haven’t been able to email our membership survey to the others.  Of the surveys emailed, I have only received three replies (including mine).  I have attempted to contact those who haven’t provided email addresses and/or haven’t responded to the survey to remind you that the deadline for the completed surveys is April 20 via a post to our group thread and by sending out private messages.  Only three members have viewed the post and I know that some may not have their accounts set up to receive email notification when they have received private messages here on the site.  So as a last reminder, I’m posting here in hopes that you may see it.  We really would like to get an event organized for May and I’d like your opinions and input to be represented.  Some of you I expect only want to be a part of our online group and don’t have any plans to participate in the actual outings but I do hope we get more than just the current three of us who want to share a group outing.   Also, we now have a North Texas Naturists web sitewww.northtexasnaturists.comSince we are not selling anything and are a part of the larger community here at TN and not in competition, I feel providing our site address isn’t violating the TOS.  Everyone is invited to take a look and comment on the site which gives information on our club.

Good news for our club today!  We have been accepted as an affiliate of The Naturist Society and are now a part of the Naturist’s Network!  We will now be listed in Nude & Natural Magazine’s Naturist Network Section as well as being listed on the TNS web site.  We will also now be able to process TNS memberships through our club.  The really nice thing about all this is that our members can now feel a part of a real organization and not just some fly by night outfit, as I think our association with TNS lends us a lot of credibility within the naturist community and will also serve to help prospective members see thatNorth Texas Naturistsembraces and upholds true naturist values.  We are already getting inquires about the club from outside the True Nudists community from our web site and I’m feeling really positive about the future.

I've been networking this week with the very nice folks at AANR Southwestern Region and today as a result of their positive help in listing us, North Texas Naturists received six inquiries about membership including four from local area nudist couples!  I'm am so excited about this as up until now, the inquiries have only been trickling in.  A big part of my vision for North Texas Naturists is to prove that a club does not need to discriminate against singles by being organized as couples only or by enforcing quotas.  As long as a club is designed as a means for people to simply get together, have fun and enjoy socializing and making friends in a wholesome, non-sexual, social nudity environment, I just don't think it should matter how many are male and how many are female.  I am as a result very pleased that it looks very likely that we are soon going to gain some diversity in membership by natural rather than forced means which I have believed possible all along.  One of the couples has already re-contacted me and asked if they could host NTN house parties at their home and I'm meeting with them next week to work out the details.  You know, perhaps my vision of NTN becoming the premiere non-landed club in North Texas is actually going to become a reality!   In another interesting development, I received a rather curt message through our web site from a member of another local non-landed club who expressed displeasure over the founding of NTN and demanded to know why I hadn't simply joined their existing club.  The message made it clear that the person believed we were trying to compete with his club and that it wasn't appreciated.  I did write a pleasant reply explaining how our philosophy at NTN differed from that of his club but secretly I was very pleased at having received the message as the other club is presently the best known non-landed club in the area.  While I actually had no intention of competing with them or any other established club, it would seem to indicate that people are taking NTN seriously which I think is a very big positive.   Just had to share although I'm sure everyone won't be able to feel the same excitement about NTN that I do. LOL

Nuderunr,   So glad you shared, feeling very excited for you!  Wow is right!  What a great accomplishment.  Almost wish I could move back to Texas so that we could be one of the first couples to join your non-landed club.  Pat yourself on the back for me, Nuderunr, my arms just won't reach that far!   Jenp.s. only four more posts to go!
