This is a smaller community. Compared to most sites, we are blown out of the water. (Ignoring the content/purpose of the community) but there are LOTS of inactive accounts, and many users ignore the forums, just look at the posts. We need to find new ways, as a community, to be more active and more supportive. Am I an idiot, or do you have any on how to fix this problem?

    The site may never be improved unless the owners get on board with the input from responsible members. Many organizations of this type have an independent Board of Advisors to help the owners in regulating the activities of the site. This is a very good site and it has the potential of being a great site but nothing can or will change unless the owners will it to be so. You can try to get the owners on board with this but complaints in the past have seemed to fall on deaf ears. If the owners adopt this idea, there will be no problem in finding responsible members to act as advisors.

    I agree that the site could be so much more than it is but it's been around for 8 or 9 years and I haven't seen any move on behalf of the owners to clean it up and direct the site - not since the very early days, anyway.  What you see is what you get.

    But that can change... I'm sure I'd be more likely to consider a lifetime membership if I know that my money would be actively improving the site...
