I joined a group over a year ago. There is NO activity & the site seems partially closed. I want to leave the site but when you click to 'join' there is no warning indicating that I have already joined; & do I want to 'unjoin'? I definitely show up AS a member & want to leave the Group. How can I do that?

Go to the group page and click on the tab to "join this group". It will automatically ask you if you want to leave the group. Just confirm that you do, and you're done.

Thank you for your response. That is the USUAL procedure but the site I mentioned is partially disabled. When you click the tab you mentioned it puts you on a pending list then adds you as a member. You can become a member but it won't allow you to leave. I think the webmasters of TN should just delete this particular site. But I can't seem to reach them directly.

You do not state whether the group is public or private but I assume it is the latter, in which case a group owner or moderator needs to approve your joining. It may be that the only moderator is on holiday but it might be a good idea to look at their profile and see when they last logged in. If they haven't logged in for over a year then the group is effectively dead and the only thing to do is to apply to the site administrators to become the group owner.
