Make certification compulsory after a little while

I feel TN should make it mandatory for profiles to be certified after a certain time duration, like a month or so, and then disable those profiles if the people fail to comply. That should clear out the fake profiles.

agree totallyI cannot think of any valid reason why a genuine nudist/naturist would not want to see the site integrity enhanced.  I know that sometimes I have received the response that someone sees no need for it and cannot be bothered spending the little time needed to complete the process.  When I have been given that sort of comment, I find that a rather self centered response when it comes from someone who on the face of it has been around the traps for some time. Personally I have adopted the position now that I will not accept friend requests from anyone who is not a certified member. My suggestion  - three months grace to become comfortable with the site - but then account cancelled.
I realize the devious ones will just keep trying and reinventing themselves- but that will be a bit of an inconvenience for them and so be it.

Only when this site eschews Quality over quantity, will we see any change.

Just realized there were several replies to this post and I didn't get any notification in my account or any email about them. We also need and option for tracking posts by email alerts. That's a different functionality request though.
Regarding this post, completely agree with the suggestions like the "preview" period can be 3 months instead of 1 and block certain areas of the site for non-certified members (I would even say block most areas of the site for non-certified members).
I don't understand the point of why anyone wouldn't want to get certified especially when it guarantees privacy and doesn't need a lot of efforts. Also no photos are posted and no payments are required. Everybody should get certified if they are serious.

Maximum people are fraud here that is why they are afraid to certify. So many fake photos from porn site these people are copying and pasting. So we are to be very very careful to choose the correct friend/s. The fake people to be eliminated.

I seriously doubt that any of the members with fake profiles are paying customers. So what do the owners have to lose by eliminating these people?

Remember the days of two chat rooms and did not work for folks not certified did enter. certified is not fool proof but is a good start for most reason is painless and not costs. World seems smaller when knowing numbers of folks that enjoy being naked together.

I get friends request from people with blank profiles and no pics or certification, although I have mentioned in my profile that I accept only those FRs which are from certified profiles. I think majority of these non certified blank profiles are frauds who are only interested in watching the pictures of genuine nudists on this site. There should be a limit to these fake profiles and these should be deleted after a fixed period of time if these are not getting certified.

I fully agree to getting people certified and a full profile  within an x amount of time. To help  to get all of bs people out, and to have a better site for people who are nudist or trying to get into the lifestyle.
Certification would be ideal but at the very least, get rid of unused accounts. I have seen a lot of accounts where people last logged in 3 or 4 years ago. They obviously do not want to be here anymore!!
I fully support this opinion. Regarding certification, each of us is free to allow or not people uncertified see our photos and / or data.

I totally agree, I could not believe how easy it was to get certified here. I belong to another web sight that the hoops you have to jump through there was terrible. It took me several attempts there because of my being somewhat computer illiterate.  I would send photo's and meet the requirements but then did not know what to do with them. It actually took me almost a year to figure it out. Here it is so easy.
And you guys better get used to me, I just sent them my check for a "lifetime" membership. So hopefully by the end on the week, I will be able to be a member 100%..

Certification is important to maintain integrity. We are nudists, enjoying a lifestyle. Lets keep it that way.als, good to read of another lifetime member. We possibly need to have a special group, open only to those who are similarly minded

I clearly state in my profile that I will only accept friend requests from people who have basically done a profile and have posted a full nude photo OR who write something with the friend request explaning why they can't be more open here. Yet, I still get a lot of people who click on Friend Request, don't have a profile and/or photo and don't even say 'Hi'. They get deleted.

Ok I am sort of new here, but I have been here long enough to have formed an opinion. We have all these people using our chat room, that claim to be nudist. So I randomly pick someone to profile.
(A.) they often times are not certified.
(B.) for being nudist they can't even post a nude picture to prove that in fact they do get naked.
(C.) and I am finding that they post one clothed picture of a woman, after starting a conversation you realize it has to be a man you are in fact talking to, and I am highly suspect that it is even the lady in the pictures significant other.
(D.) I guess I feel that only certified people should be able to use our chat room. Way to many fake nudist when you can't even post a naked picture...
    I vented I feel better now.....LOL thanks

Certification is meaningless.  All it means is you can print off a piece of paper and send a couple of photos to the admin.  It doesn't mean you have ever gone to a nude beach.  It doesn't mean you have ever gardened in the nude.  Heck, it doesn't even mean you have ever gone skinny dipping.  This week alone I have flagged three "certified" profiles.  All had nude photos (which many seem to think proves something)  ... and all read like shopping lists of sexual preferences and perversions.  I probably come off sounding like a prude here but the fact is, the owners of this site don't have any interest in providing a home for nudists/naturists to hang out.  If they did, they'd clean up defunct and inappropriate profiles.  I've been here since very close to the beginning (with two departures) and haven't seen any evidence of a desire to actually make this a True Nudists site.

Those are some very valid points Folklover, all certification does is prove the person who owns the profile and not stolen pics. the reason I feel that inactive and fake profiles are kept is due to the numbers game, people will be more inclined to join if there is a high number of pre existing members as opposed to a small number. I do believe something needs to be done in regards to chat moderators though, there is a big gap during certain time frames when there is rarely a mod in the room.

I guess my point was that this site has more serious problems than non-certified members.  I chat here quite frequently and when I am on the receiving end of inappropriate behaviour, the odds are about even whether the person was certified or not.

How about creating a section of the site that you can only get to if you are both a PAID and CERTIFIED member.  If a CERTIFIED and PAID only section gets created then the site would actually live up to its name "truenudists".  Some may ask why both paid and certified how come not just certified?  Well I’m just posting my personal opinion on this topic. I imagine some may not agree with having to be both paid and certified but that is just the new feature I would like to see on the site.  Maybe the site could create even a bigger discount if you are both certified and paid.

I agree with being certified, it was one of the first thing that I did when I joined. The photo's are deleted and never posted on this site. It would help to make TN a more true nudist group!

Only 12,499  members from a total of 236,647 are certified. That is less than 5.3%

Agree with general flavour of recent threads. It makes sense for the site owners to make certification and paid membership a REAL benefit to those who do so. Ultimately it helps to maintain a quality membership and is a real benefit to their cash flow if more members pay. Personally I paid for lifetime membership early after joining the site and really cannot understand the logic of not requiring members to be certified. Similarly I cannot understand why site owners would not want more paid members. This is not a charity site so why make it easy for freeloaders
There WAS a cert only room.  You know what we nicknamed it?.  The Wankers Room.

There's no reason at all not to get certified.  None.  Cert pics aren't posted.  So if it can't be mandatory, how about that only certified members can enter chat, post on the forum, NO pic access of any kind.
YOU, may have labelled the other room in that fashion. Do not use the royal "WE" to taint the rest of us thank you!
That I would like to see! The web-site in its early years was a more friendly place. Much smaller in numbers, you could go into the chat room and actually have friendly discussions. I used to pay for membership in past times, but have not seen any need to when any blow in off the internet high-way can access everything I can, and for free. Also, I am not one of the sanctimonious creatures on here who feel that, OH,  I pay for this website, therefore my opinion is much more important!! The only reason for paying a donation to the web-site dues and fees is to look at more pictures of naked bi-peds?? How terribly boring. Give me a reason for paying membership, such as, chat-room, and other areas as you say, just for certified and paid members, then hopefully this web-site and decent members may hold our heads high!
