I went to Howell Park today and it was fantastic! There were dozens of naked people there and almost no textiles. It is a very friendly and welcoming crowd. There are both sexes and a large age range (no kids today but I`m sure they`re welcome) and many different races. The water was warm and clean. The park is small so I imagine it gets crowded weekends so I`m going to try to go mostly on weekdays. It`s rocky on the bottom but not too bad bad. It is truly wonderful to be a nudist on a public beach smack in the middle of a large city.

Pros: It`s in the middle of the city, friendly people. it`s a park so it`s free.

Cons: It`s small, rocky in places, no bathrooms.

There`s no parking that`s really close - you have to park on Lk Washington Blvd and walk down a steep street, then a dirt/gravel trail through some woods before you get to the lawn and beach. Once you`re there, it`s quite nice - the last hot day we had, there were perhaps 200 people there, maybe more - all nude. If there are people there, they are usually nude. There are singles - hetero couples - gay couples - groups of friends. Very quiet, laid back atmosphere. Some people go swimming.

    Pros: Fairly secluded but accessible.

Cons: Lack of parking. Lack of restrooms. Being on the east side of a steep hill, by early September the sun isn`t shining on the park after about 4 or 4:30 pm, so it`s cooler.
