A lot of things have changed since I started coming to this site. There was a time when I considered my wife and I to be on the downhill side of things and found myself attracted to the images of younger folks in this lifestyle and regretting all the time that had passed that hadn't been taken full advantage of, in terms of participation in naturist recreation. Some of this was my own fault but some wasn't. After my wife and I married seven years ago I would occasionally tease her about taking her to a nudist venue only to hear her decline the offer while telling me that if I had suggested this back when she was younger, up to the age of 40, she would likely have said "yes", but that now she was far past that. Let me explain. My wife is a beautiful woman of 66. She has been plagued with medical problems including arthritis, severe diabetes, and fatty liver disease (non-alcoholic cirrhosis). This has left her with slender legs, a small, tight, bottom, but a large abdomen and an "apron" of fat that hangs over her pudenda. None of those things bother me, I am not the guy that I was 30 years ago either. My attitude is that we accept the concessions demanded by age but take full advantage of what we have left. It has been a slow haul. A while back we were planning a vacation and I was letting her make all the reservations since she enjoys doing that. Much to my surprise she scheduled us into a hot springs resort in Colorado which allowed nude soaking and told me that she would hardly go to a place like that without at least trying it. I was very excited at the thought but it turned out we were unable to make that visit as something else intervened. Still, it was a positive step. Time passed by and she went to visit some relatives and left me on my own for a period of a few weeks. During that time I went on my own and visited a naturist resort a short 100 miles or so from where we live. I didn't try to hide that, but told her about it the next time we were on the phone. That was a good thing, as it turned out, because it forced her to confront the fact that I was attracted to the lifestyle and occasioned the first really serious discussion that we had had on the subject. The upshot was that we went back to the resort, together, both got nude, and had a very good time. The catch was that it was a Wednesday and we were the only guests. I didn't care; I wasn't there to see other people or be seen by other people, just to enjoy the freedom. In the time since we have joined AANR for the benefit of discounts, planned visits to other resorts, and gone so far as to plan trips with the idea of hitting CO venues at our overnight stops. Let me back up a minute, all the way to the first paragraph. I no longer regret time lost and wish for the days of the past. I find myself skipping over the profiles of young attractive couples in the prime of life but am instead attracted to people like my wife and I; over 60, over weight (probably), but interesting because of who we are and what we've done. In the last month or so I have made friends with a number of people in this category. So, here is my dilemma, most of the folks that I have made friends with have pictures that show them and their spouses, smiling at the camera, in full frontal splendor, replete with scars, wrinkles, sags, etc. That is something that I would love to have also. Unfortunately, my wife resists almost all of my efforts to photograph her in a state of undress and certainly refuses to do any sort of posing. I love her very much, so don't want to force her into doing anything that she really doesn't want to do. I would also like to introduce her to some of the folks that I have met here and show her the liberation that we have found. To do that I would like to display a photograph of her and me, smiling, in full frontal glory, for all our friends here to see. I doubt that anybody will even read this, but if you do and have any ideas, please let me know. Judy and I would both appreciate it!
