Naturist V/S Sexual Arousal

So, I just made friends with a couple on here and while I was getting acquainted with what they have included in their profile I discovered that they had a blog. There is only one entry and it has the same title as this one. It seems that 3 years ago they set out to discover whether people really come here for naturism or whether it is sexual stimulation. My immediate response was to say "naturism". But if that was really the case, I wondered, why was I looking at their pictures? It turns out there is no easy or simple answer. I do look at friends' pictures here. I get a lot of enjoyment from that. But the feelings that I get from that aren't really sexual in nature. At least not in the sense that I find myself wanting or imagining having sex with the females in the pictures. What I feel most strongly is a desire to insert my wife and myself into those pictures and become a part of that experience, that moment in time etched forever by the camera's lens. It isn't really voyeurism that attracts me to my friends' photos, I don't think. For one thing, while I fully appreciate photos depicting natural displays of affection I am put off by those with obvious sexual overtones or depictions of more anatomical detail than normally visible. It seems counter-intuitive, but when my wife and I have attended resorts I have found that the woman I most enjoy seeing is my wife, not someone else's. Still, I get a strong feeling of stimulation on this site and most strongly from the photo sections. If that isn't sexual, what is it? I have looked deep inside and can honestly say that I don't want to have sex with anyone else's wife, I don't want anyone else to have sex with my wife, I don't want to have sex with my wife in the presence of anyone else whether or not they are having sex with their wife. No, none of those things sound attractive. I have to admit, though, that every time that I post a photo of either myself or my wife I get a feeling of exuberance that is almost liberating. I think that those feelings stem from a need deep inside to reach out and connect with others on the most basic, honest, level possible; to strip away all the trappings of rank and position and just be people. Another friend, a couple, has a photo of the two of them, nude, standing next to a ceramic yard ornament of a reclining alien. It reminded me of the plaque attached to the Voyager space probe that includes a depiction of a nude man and woman for the edification of any alien life forms that may eventually discover it, a sort of cosmic reaching out saying, "This is who, and what, we are." So, I post photos here to reach out to other members in the most honest way I know. I look at their photos in the same vein. I get that stimulation that comes from connecting. I consider each connection formed to be an honor, and can imagine no greater honor than standing side by side with my wife, naked as we were born, and raising our hands to greet visitors from an alien race. If that isn't naturism then I don't know what is.
