======================================================================================== See videos in our Videos Section======================================================================================== It’s Christmas Eve 2011 and we are in Falmouth, Cornwall visiting Steve’s folks for holiday festivities. A few hours of free time and we head off for a coastal walk from Swanpool to Meanporth. We walk along the path until we find a track that leads down to Arthur’s beach (a known nudie beach in Falmouth) which Jo has never visited before. After a bit of slipping and sliding and we make it to the beach where the tide is quite out. The first section of the cove is a mixture of sand and pebbles. Painted on a rocky outcrop in yellow are the words Arthur’s Beach. It’s all quiet, too cold even for the locals, maybe (well it is the 24 December in England!). Past the outcrop is a second section of cove, which is sandier than the first. While the sun was shining, Steve thinks it’s time for a swim so he strips off and heads to the water’s edge (crazy boy ;) and heads straight into the freezing water and manages to get his shoulder’s wet before it gets too cold and it’s back to the beach for him. Jo can’t resist stripping off too and makes it a short distance into the water and enjoys a quick paddle before the weather clouds over and it begins to rain. So we make a dash for shelter in one of the rock formations. A nice flask of coffee and a piece of cake and we are revived. We decide to walk further along the coast over the rocks but are stopped by an impassable section of gullies. So we have to make our way back until we find a route up to the cliff that will take us to the coastal path. As we walk back we look down on the beaches and think of our invigorating experience (and wondered if anyone was watching!)
