  In the past we have also been surprised by unexpected arrivals. In the past over 40 years of home nudity there have been more than a few of these types incidents, some more startling than others.

  But that all ended when we installed gate opening sensor and a driveway sensor. They connect to the door bell and you get a few seconds before the visitor actually reaches the front door or the side gate to the back yard. The Home Depot is a wonderful place for this kind of stuff.

  Now, lets all shake hands, make up, and get on with sharing our stories of amusing social gaffs and surprises.

  What the heck is that all about? And more importantly, how does that contribute to this forum being a fun environment for everyone?
  Instead of looking for supposed "inconsistencies" in each other posts, how about keeping our acrimony geared towards the actual "enemies" of nudism?

  The chairs were the plastic, easily pliable kind. I was drinking my beer, fidgeting a bit, rocking back and forth. The next thing I knew I was flying backyards. I landed on my back, ass in the air, spread-eagled. I got back up quickly, jumped over the chair and landed in it, pretending as if nothing just happened.

  i was not nude but had a similar tumble years ago at Foxy's a beach bar in the BVI. My chair leg got too near the edge of the raised platform and i did a slow backwards tumble onto the beach sand. Nothing was hurt , just laughed it off. The funniest thing was I was the only one in the group that was not drinking adult beverages.

And, what exactly defines a person as old, or childish? I hope the good Lord allows you, and your wife, to both become "old people" whatever and whenever that is.

  this did not happen to me, but it is one of the more amusing true stories that i have heard that involves nudity.
  A young man posed in the buff for a college art class. Two females who were friends both did sketches and remarked to each other
  that he was kind of cute. They hung onto their finished sketches. A couple of years later the two women were coworkers at the collage library. In comes a young man and applies for a job. They recognized him as the cute model from the art class. But they did not tip their hands and he did not know them. They hired him and on his first day on the job, in his new cubicle they had hung the 2 sketches they had done. He must have been amused or at least not mad, he ended up marrying one of those women.

  I cant say I have any embarrassing stories.
  I am frequently nude in my backyard, which is only partly visible from the road. Sometimes, depending on what my chores are for the day I may wander near the sides, where I may be seen, so I try to be careful.
  I was at my local hardware store buying some tubing for a project, when talking to a female worker, mentioned she drove past my house recently. After telling her I waned to buy some hose, she made a comment about "the size of my hose", and if "I knew what she was talking about"
  I brushed of her comment, but always wished I didn't, and asked her to explain.

  I have a story before people know I was a nudis,
  It was a cold day out side, and I was in my green house working nude I keep my green house 80 degrees in winter.
  My landlord was knocking on my door, I did not hear him but he heard me working and went to find me in the side yard. Well he found me alright he was surprised when he did he did not say anything about it we talked for a bit. A week later I run in to his wife and we get to talking she told me her husband come home looking lost. He told her what had happened and she just had to laugh at it because of the way he acted. I apologize to her she giggled at me, and told me its my place I could do whatever I wanted as long as I did not destroy the place.

  A few years back, when living on a golf course in South Florida, I often would skinny-dip in our pool and sit nude on the patio. Before going out to the pool or the patio I would check to see if any golfers were nearby. If so, I would wait until they played through. Because of it being three fairways and two ponds across to the houses on the other side, the distance was about 200 yards. As far as those houses and the walls and height of the landscaping on the sides of our yard, I felt comfortable walking and sitting nude around the patio. If I was already sitting on the patio and golfers approached I would cover my lap with a newspaper or whatever was handy. Being golfers, they were always too involved with their games to pay much notice to the houses lining the course, especially if there was no movement to distract them.

  It was an interesting neighborhood I did not fully appreciate until moving away. There were about 100 houses and almost no children. After one couple had a baby, they moved out to a bigger house. I felt very comfortable being nude outside on our patio and backyard. Never had any complaints.

  The nearest I came to being caught nude out there was when a younger woman was walking her dog along the cart path early one evening. My wife and I knew her and her husband due to both of us having dogs. While we lived near the green on hole number six, they lived at the other end near the tee.

  During this close call, our spouses were out of town on business. I was skinny-dipping in our pool and sitting on the submerged shelf, facing the golf course. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the woman and her dogs coming from my left, heading towards her house. I nonchalantly grabbed the yellow foam pool float and positioned it to cover my lower body. I was not sure if the float with the narrow width in front of me would cover my goodies given the angle she would be looking from. Therefore, I positioned the float with the long length running towards her.

  She saw me and we started chatting. As we continued to chat, she moved closer to our pool screening, stopping only a few feet from it. As it was a small pool, this put her less than 20 feet away from me.

  The whole time I wondered if she could see I was nude or thought it odd how I held the float in front of me. Eventually she left, and I never knew if my skinny-dipping had been discovered or not. Will never know what she saw. Maybe from her angle she saw everything, or maybe she saw a little bit of a bare hip given the way I had the narrow float in front of me.

  Forgot about this I was in the hospital and my mom brought in a clean pair of pj's to wear my mom can in pulled the curtain around me and asked me to change I guess I was taking some time my asked if everything was ok I said I guess then my mom steps inside the curtail and finished helping taking off the old I was sitting on he bed nude then helps me into the clean pj's

  Amusing more that embarrassing. We drove naked up to the mountain the middle of Gran Canaria. We fancied an ice cream so went to the only restaurant in the village, wearing our wraps. We got the ice creams and went to pay. Girls were sitting at the pay desk whilst I was standing - my bits at their eye level. Did I say my wrap was see-through. They both giggled and talked a lot in Spanish before taking our money. I knew why and enjoyed every moment.

  Next day we went back for lunch (this time dressed in shorts and shirts). They remembered us and told their fellow waitresses.
