So what are your thoughts on this? where does one begin & where does one end? Are nudists also into exibitionsim? And vice versa?

BudSep 30, 2010I would have to say that belonging to a site where one of the primary foci is displaying nude pics of oneself, is, on its face, exhibitionistic.
Like I pointed out before, if one actually ONLY wanted to meet other nudists to hang out with, nude pics are not at all necessary, One could just log on, find others who claim to be nudists and then strip when the time comes, when all meet at the resort or beach or wherever. Because hey, If they arent really nudists, then they would not be getting any thrill by pretending to be one. And they wouldnt get a thrill out of seeing you or me naked on here. The only nudity would be AT the spot where everyone is nude and if they show up and strip, that qualifies....
There are countless good spots to be nude in nature. The only reason people dont just all go out and be nude alone in nature is that they want to be around other naked people. When we tell people about all the great spots to be nude in nature (see our pics) , they still only want to know "Where is the nearest resort?, "Where is the nearest nudist beach?"....They MAY indeed be concerned about the freedom of nudity, but they want to see others and be seen to be naked too..... ocmickSep 30, 2010While it is possible for me to venture out into the forest and find a secluded spot to be free from clothing, the benefit of pulling through the gate of my club, disrobing and strollling down to the beach without a concern of being seen or worse, arrested seems to weigh out. I often opt to hit the club on week days when no one is visiting just to read, snooze and swim. I rather enjoy the quiet. The beach on the other hand (specifically gunnison/sandy hook) is so much more of a show for most people...ReactReply - GE

That is exhibitionism.[/quote] Let's not confuse exhibitionism and desire for social contact. I like to find an isolated spot far from anywhere else where I can just rest and relax in peace. However, I also like the camaraderie of close friends. I wouldn't be showing myself off to them. I'd be enjoying their company. Also, not everyone likes natureper se. Some need the comfort of concrete and brick surrounding the pool rather than the sand and surf of beach, or the majestic view of the ocean from a cliff, or even just a nice little clearing in the woods just big enough for yourself and the resident rabbit population. I spend a lot of time nude with just any wildlife I happen to see with me. There is nothing more relaxing than hiking or fishing nude. It is about IMHO de-stressing, relaxing, and getting back to innocence. Even when clothed nudists are nude beneath the clothes. It's a mindset as well as the feel good feeling of not wearing constricting clothing.

In a nudist setting, no swinging occurs. But that doesn't mean there aren't any swingers.
In a nudist setting, no one engages in sexual activity out in the open in front of everyone else. But some might when they retire to their tent or cabin, or just plain go home.
In a nudist setting, an exhibitionist in the true sense of the term would be very disappointed to find no one reacting the way they expect to whatever display they make. Which is why he or she would rather "exhibit" themselves somewhere else. But that doesn't mean they don't sometimes visit nudist settings.ReactReply - MEMemberOct 1, 2010
The majority of nudists i know, and i suspect also on here are because they enjoy the freedom and all the other things we all say. Some might further appreciate been lloked at, especially younger ones, and some enjoy a touch of showing off.
This is all to me quite normal provided no offence intended or given.
This site seems obsessed with 'pervs' and other names. In most cases thet are complaing about normalm people who are slightly different from the complainers, who of course are also normal people by their own definition.ReactReply - BA

Exhibitionism as a behavioural trait is not restricted to the narrow field of human sexuality. I have been a nudist since I was 15, first at health suits/saunas, steam-rooms & Turkish Baths here in the UK, then on beach holdiays to Europe and here again in UK, & a social nudist in all this time.
I do NOT find just the sight of a human body "thrilling" to be honest. I need to be stimulated "cerebrally", & it never ceases to amaze me that supposdedly "adult" humans cannot cotrol their base instincts.

Bill BowserOct 21, 2010Nudism (or maturistm, if you prefer) is only one aspect of a person. In additopn to being a nudist one can be almost anything else. Some nudists are exhibitionists, most aren't. Exhibitionism is not related to nudism, but many textiles probably believe otherwise. We need better public relations.

well, this has been well answered apparently, but there is a great deal of exhibitionist pictures and Nudist "posers" on this website. The folks actually tell on themselves when they leave sexually charged messages on members pics, and then if you were to look through their pics, they themselves may have more of a sexually implied content.. these folks could be then considered exhibitionists, and perhaps nudists as well... but i think most of them are exhibitionists.

I don't like to show myself at least on purpose. I don't really care if people see all of me on cam if it just happens. I am restricted on when I can be nude. I live with textile relatives. Sean
