There are a lot of threads where people are talking about shaving their pubes, but not much discussion on armpit hair. How many men here remove their armpit hair, whether it be shave, wax or laxer?
The reason I ask because it seems like not many men today do it. Society always make it seem like a woman thing. But ever since I started having my armpits waxed last year, I've really loved it and can't go back to hairy armpits again. It feels much cleaner and really reduces body odor. In fact, I don't even have to put on deodorant anymore because the lack of hair keeps the pits clean and fresh. If I sweat there, it dries up very quickly since there's no hair to retain the moisture.

May 3, 2023Yes, I keep my armpits shaved. It's cleaner and more hygienic.
Hair traps bacteria which then causes a stink so if there's no hair there's less stink.
Same with pubic hair - it's not necessary and just becomes a breeding ground for bacteria.
Also it feels better not having hair in so many places.ReactReply - BL

Jun 14, 2023I shave my chest but I leave my pits and pubes. This is largely because, as a gay man, I find pits and pubes quite attractive so I leave them.

I also played Australian Rules Football and the sleeveless Guernsey's meant the outs were on display. Most guys 'tamed' their pits as a minimum. So I could be somewhere in between during the winter with my pits growing back. Then in summer completely removed again.
Now much older I still practise the cycle and my wife will actually make mention if I allow them to grow back more than half during summer!ReactReply - MEMemberAug 18, 2024

I pretty regularly wax my underarm hair. I swim laps daily and think it just looks better. Many I swim with also remove their underarm hair, either by shaving or waxing.

Sep 14, 2024I also either shave or use a hair removal lotion under my arms. I definitely think it cuts down on odor especially during summer months.

Sep 14, 2024I keep my body hair below the neck down, recently had surgery and my pubes got shaved in the process.
