There are a lot of threads where people are talking about shaving their pubes, but not much discussion on armpit hair. How many men here remove their armpit hair, whether it be shave, wax or laxer?

The reason I ask because it seems like not many men today do it. Society always make it seem like a woman thing. But ever since I started having my armpits waxed last year, I've really loved it and can't go back to hairy armpits again. It feels much cleaner and really reduces body odor. In fact, I don't even have to put on deodorant anymore because the lack of hair keeps the pits clean and fresh. If I sweat there, it dries up very quickly since there's no hair to retain the moisture.

I guess I'm the only man here who doesn't and never would shave my pits. I love my pit pubes and I never would dream of ever shaving my pits smooth. I wish I had thicker pit pubes and longer. I've never had a problem with oder or anything else because I know how to keep my body clean, even now I don't wear deodorant and there is little to no oder at all.

I shave my underarms and have for years now. I like to wear shorts and a t-shirt when I have to dress. I was talking to a friend of mine about how the underarms of my T's get stained, he said his did not since he started shaving his underarms. SO, I gave it a try and it was true. Plus, my wife likes not having the hair tickle her nose and face when we cuddle and snuggle.

  • I started shaving my pits for high school swimming and just kept it up. I prefer the look and feel over hairy pits.

  • Good stuff! It works really well and the hair grows back soft.

I found that keeping underarm hair short reduced body odor. I can't use underarm deodorant. I am allergic to it. So trimming hair became normal.

Now that I am spending time in the sun nude, body odor has almost completely disappeared. I make sure to get some sun time under arms and in crotch. Also, the remaining faint odor is different. It is much less obnoxious.

I may not need to trim hair as long as I get occasional sun time.

I regularly wax my underarm hair. I just prefer how it looks. Ive never shaved it as im scared to cut myself and dont want it to itch like i have fleas when it grows back. Im also mixed race and can be prone to ingrown hairs. In my lap swim classes at my gym, most males, to include the instructor, wax or shave their pits. Observations from the locker rooms also tell me most younger adult males are regularly trimming or shaving pit hair.

I shave everything head, beard, front and back of my body, armpits and of course my pubes also. My arm and legs I are the only parts I don't shave.

I can't say I've ever thought of doing it, but I also can't say no, I won't do it. As I'm aging it's getting lighter and thinner anyway.
