  I had this issue as a gay man young who was aware also got hard instantly when pants off and dreading any public urinal. My fears were that men would look, that I would look at them, that they would freak out, and that the world would know the horrors. Even after coming out and doing WS (pee play) I had this issue. This is because it is reflexive and developed young. You don't think it, you feel it, usually the hormones in the urine and the exposure to cold air off the porcelain does it. Mammals like us either harden when they smell other male's urine or they soften. Most nervous men soften and the chill makes it shrink up faster, also seizing the bladder. Once the process starts, adrenaline fear response because it is traumatic in some ways and this blocks the process further. My solution. I noticed at the pub when after one pitcher of beer the piss flowed easily although I went in when no one was there. The pressure, the diuresis of the booze and the effects of the depressant relaxed the area and it didn't tense up. So what I did was every time I went further back from my usual glued to the cold porcelain penis in water stance to half a foot and peed (straight guys do it why not me), then a half more...until I was 4 feet back slashing accross the room into the urinal with perfect accuracy. Then two metal heads walked in to smoke a joint. I kinda froze they did too and then the one says "whoa dude, that;s a fucking righteous slash"...they watched me finish moving closer as the stream slowed not spilling a drop...applause. Straight guys like piss contests of absurd dimensions and I had become one of them...and was never shy again because I realized i could be just as absurd and the more penis I showed and the more outrageous it was the less gay they thought I was.

  Lots of people are. I dont know why exactly but I suspect its something developed when young that they havent been able to overcome or didnt want to. Ive been in a mens room with 4 urinals and only one occupied. Another guy comes in and goes to a stall to take a leak. Some even close and latch the door. Im thinking WTH? You can see their feet under the stall and hear it hitting the water but they have to lock themselves in the stall. I really dont get it but its one of those hang ups that really doesnt matter much to me except for me laughing inside every time it happens.

There's just a strange mental block when I have to pee. There are times I have to go really bad, but my plumbing just won't cooperate. I'd be standing there, piece in hand, and my muscles just refuse to let go. I lived on the road for about 3-4 months, consequently using a lot of public rest areas and washrooms, so I have gotten less pee-shy recently. I can at least use one of the urinals instead of the stalls. However, open-air bushes? Trough urinals? Nope. Can't do it. I maywantto, but my bladder will refuse.

  Interesting experience. That was smart telling him you were only 16. You were in a very vulnerable position. Those old rustic camps with outhouses can be confusing. I've had a couple more embarrassing experiences in the outhouse I mentioned in the earlier posting. I'll get around to posting them soon. Tom

  When I was young - like all the way up to college and perhaps a bit beyond - I was terribly pee shy. At events like ball games where your chance of getting at a stall is slim and will take forever, as urinal after urinal spot opens up before you, it was absolute agony. Guys would look at me like "well? are you gonna pee or what?, and I would feel obligated and step up and go through the motions, which only made the pain of having to go worse. In truth, I was so pee shy then that in crowded environments like that it was possible that I would be unable to pee even in a stall - even while the need to go brought crippling pain.

  And then somehow, and I know not how or even exactly when, it stopped. I am now no longer a bit pee shy, and could take a giant 10 minute leak right in front of the Pope while smiling and making direct eye contact the whole time.

  Like I said, it is a mystery to me how it ceased to be a problem, but I am ever so thankful that it has. Being able to just whip it out and take a piss pretty much anytime, anywhere is one of the things that make being a guy great. Not as much as the not getting pregnant thing, but still.

  Here's a question that I thought you might answer.
  if you're already nude why do you need to have a bathroom?

  I have been at a couple of events and being nude already, people go to a separate room to piss. I don't understand why you can't just piss outside if you're already nude anyway. I thought bathrooms were used to hide your body from others to go. The only thing that could be the reason would be for sanitary reasons. But if he already mentioned earlier that he used the bushes while clothed then why can't you use them while nude?

  Just wondering cuz I am so new to this.

Where people walk? Where they place their towel when they want to sit? Where the children run and play? Where?

  I was in the Army in 68' and they took care of that problem.No stalls just long line of toilet.

  My wife has sometimes reached in and held it while I go. If I happen to be outside and going she will make circles or shapes to be funny. She likes to sneek in behind me at times and rub my butt while I go because she knows it will shut off the flow. Then laugh and go away.

  Never been a problem for me but a friend I have could not. At keg parties which I went to a lot of in high school you would just go to a bush to pee. He could not. Even at home if I'm outside and have to pee I just find a bush. And on the golf course, just have to find a tree or bush so as not to be in open site of other golfers or someones house. On the nude beach I go to I just walk down to the waters edge and face the ocean or go in waist deep. The one bathroom they do have there is quite a trek from where the nudist beach starts.

  I was with my now wife, then girlfriend at a concert. When we left all the port a lets were taken so at the car in the parking lot she all of a sudden drops her drawers squats and pees next to the car. Really surprised me. Just didn't think women did that, but then they have to go too! Don't think she would do that now.

  I've witnessed this too before. Oddly the double standard seems to be in play here. It doesn't seem to be as shocking when you see a guy relieving outside. But seeing a female seems shocking.
  On a bus excursion to a pro football game many witnessed a young female run off of a neighboring bus in the parking lot screaming for all to move away. The toilet on that bus had broken. Many people were using or her busses toilets but she couldn't wait. Dropped her jeans next to a garbage dumpster and proceeded to relieve in the presense of many. And apologizing as she was going.
  Another time... Same stadium at halftime the ladies restroom line was so long that two women walked into the men's room and used the urinals in view of us.

  I have problems peeing in a urinal if someone is standing next to me. For reasons only a nudist would understand, I have no, trouble peeing outdoors when there's a group of guys peeing together.

  Years ago, when I was still single, I was at a nudist resort with a couple of girlfriends. I had to "pee", so I went to the women's room. There were only three stalls which were being used and two women waiting. They really should make women's room with more toilets. I peeked into the men's room. There were three urinals and three door less toilet stalls. The room was empty. I slipped in, went to the nearest toilet. As I sat relieving myself I was looking down at the floor. When I finished I reached for the toilet paper, took one quick wipe and looked up. There at eye level about three feet from my face were three naked penises. The naked men they were attached to were watching me wipe myself. I guess I was humming to myself and didn't hear them come in. Evidently this was amusing to them. They were all grinning. I waved my hand at them and said, "Shoo" - "Shoo". They laughed and headed towards the urinals. As I was leaving I walked past the men at the urinals, I stopped at each one and had a good look. They weren't "Pee Shy". All three continued "peeing" as I looked on. They each turned a little sideways so I could get a good look. They seemed proud of their "peeing" ability or they just wanted me to get a good look at their penises. I told my girlfriends what had happened. They both had used a men's room while a man watched them "pee" or they watched as the man "peed". I guess this happens quite often at nudist locations. The rules are more relaxed and the people just go with the flow. The three men walked past us a few minutes later. They smiled and said, "Hi" and continued on their separate ways.[/strong]

  I don't recall ever being shy. We you gotta go, you gotta go. I do remember some close friends (ladies) who weren't too shy, the remarks about going when you gotta go is true for all. I lost count the number of times I had to be on the lookout while also being used to help keep them from loosing balance. One of those friends did love to help aim when she was drunk. I think many women are fascinated about how guys pee, my two cents.

  I figured it was because of our body-shaming society that made it difficult, but hearing that nudists even have trouble I guess that's not the case! :D
