When you have to wear a swimsuit, what do you wear.
Speedo solar has been my choice in the past, but since I stopped wearing underwear I find it very constricting even though the coverage is minimal.
Any suggetions?

I wear black Speedo, not the classic look but a bit of the legs covered.
My girlfriend always says it is too much showing bulge hahahaha :)
I swim a lot and this is best for speed.

I recenlty reduced my swimwear inventory to 2 speedo solars and one moderately short trunks. Got rid of my only longer trunk suit.
I have been a bit of a quandary about appearances. I don't care about tan-through, I don't tan anyway and rarely lay in the sun. I have been wearing Speedo-type suits from N2N and other brands for my exercise swimming at the Y and other health clubs. They're clearly the best for moving through the water, and they dry quickly. But then I read comments here from guys who are concerned about "too much showing" and not having "a Speedo body," which leaves my wondering if I should rethink my boundaries. I'm legal, and the lifeguards are generally friendly. I guess it's just a personal preference.
I guess that I am too old now to care about appearances, though I never was much on keeping to current fashion trends. At the pool or on the beach or bike path, I wear sports style no fly boxer briefs or spandex exercise shorts. Both types are light weight, dry quickly, and allow for a bit of breeze to pass through. The material is thin, and they hug me closely. Any one seeing me can certainly know I have genitals, but I have never had anyone object to what I was wearing. So get more comfortable with your choices. People may see you, but most really don't care, and unless they know you they'll only be looking as some stranger that they are not likely to see again.

I swim in pools a lot as training for ocean swimming. Always wear speedo type briefs, the briefer the better these days. I like the old nylon style as you feel naked pretty much but the chlorine destroys them relatively fast so you need to replace them.

When I go to non CO beaches I use the cool tan shorts to try to get some colour but it is limited. Otherwise I use the speedo briefs and wear them as much as possible.

When I swim at the gym its always a brief usually a 1 speedo solar or Sporti euro brief from swimoutlet. I usually the only guy in a brief. At the beach if thongs are legal then its a thong. If not I wear a string bikini suit by n2n. I wear the least possible depending on the environment.

I try to be adaptable, sort of "do as the Romans." Sometimes I visit more conservative friends, but at the gym it's a brief. At Fort Lauderdale a thong, and of course at Haulover....

I own a few swimsuits that I wear if Im going to clothed beach or pool. Like Alfresco10, each swimsuit is based on the environment Ill be in. Most of the suits I have are thong styles and I mostly wear that but I have a couple that are plain speedos that I wear to the pool at the gym. I mostly just wear my thong swimsuits

Leaving for 3 weeks in FL tomorrow and only taking my 2 speedo solars for swimming.
Least amount of coverage that is acceptable in most circumstances.
If possible, I wear a thong. It's as close as possible to being nude w/o being in trouble
But in a lot of places you can get it trouble wearing a thong. That's why I go with the speedo.

I was on vacation in Cancun and I was the only guy wearing a tiny speedo on the beach, until I met another gay couple. I tend to go for small straps, low profile, and black. Simple yet effective. ;)

I am not surprised about Cancun, too many Nortamericanos on one beach will always pull swimsuit styles to the more conservative. But thanks for setting an appropriate international tone.

Is there one particular area where they are worn?

I try not to go to places where I cannot be nude, but if that isn't the choice usually the smallest sheer or fishnet G-string I can find

Recently got back from 2 weeks in Florida.
Only wore speedos at the beach and pool the entire time.
Was at a beach 5 days and a pool 9.
Few other men in speedos but I didn't care.
Can't wait for it to warm up here so I can sun inside my privacy fence and fill in the small white area.

I don't own any item of clothing that could be spoken of as swim-wear. If I absolutely can't avoid visiting a textile beach I'll spend my time in the shorts I'd be wearing or, if I bothered to put any on, strip down to my underwear. On those occasions I rather forgo the water than wear wet clothes.
The only time you'd ever find me in a pool is when they have a nudist day which, lamentably, has become rarer and rarer in my neck of the woods.

What I often use as swimwear is actually underwear. May have had some people point and laugh, but really don't care. It's enough covering to be legal.

I cannot remember the brand name, but they are comfortable, go down to mid-thigh, and do the job when I have to wear a suit.
