When you have to wear a swimsuit, what do you wear.
Speedo solar has been my choice in the past, but since I stopped wearing underwear I find it very constricting even though the coverage is minimal.
Any suggetions?
If I have to, I go for board shorts without the inner mesh. As a freeballer, I find it more comfortable than having everything all squished up in a speedo. I felt more confined in a speedo after I became a full time freeballer, but still found it to be better than having a portion of my legs covered in the water. That's why I am trying the tan through suits, Much lighter in weight at flexible, so I should feel less confining.
For me, the feeling of hanging loose and swaying as I move wins out over minimalizing coverage. :)

I wear board shorts since I surf. I dont wear underwear under them though. I used to have a pair of board shorts that were thin and gray so when wet you could barely see my penis or pubic hair (when I wasnt shaved). Those ended up getting too thin that they ripped so I had to toss them. I have been looking for another thin pair to wear but cant find any.

I have read that Hawaiians always surfed nude until the European explorers took over. If you do surf nude at times, why not try briefer suits when you have to wear something?

Their micro brief and their brief are small. They make a deep waist suit that is much like a speedo.
The tanga is easy to get in and out of if you are naked and have to dress quickly but leaves a lot of butt hanging out on each side.
    They are light weight!

Later,
Ordered a micro but decided when it arrived that I really didn't want a to wear a suit that just covered my equipment in front and left a lot of crack exposed. Did like the light weight material. Going with a deep waist suit instead. Also ordered a pair of swim shorts for situations where briefs are not appropriate. Since they are so lightweight I would expect them to dry quickly so I won't need 2 suits to if I wear them on consecutive days. Then I can get rid of my non-tan-thru suits and reduce my swimwear inventory to 2. I know some people have no swimwear at all, but I can' t see that in my future because we have a lot of textile company and I like to swim and sun on cruises and other non-nude venues. One question, since the suits are so light weight, do they rip easily or wear out quickly?

If i surf nude right now i would freeze. I have always worn board shorts.

Following Andy's suggestion, I bought a tan-thru swimwear, a Kiniki tanga. They messed up and I ended up receiving a micro brief. I complained so they sent for free the tanga. While tanga is more comfortable, brief is more appropriate for textiles venues. I was expecting to get a seamless tan when using either, and I must disappointingly say that while I don't lok like ebony & ivory, tan lines are still visible. Having said this, I still much rather prefer them to my speedos, which I no longer use.

Admittedly, I am on the heavier side. Do you notice the same. I have now ordered a deep waist brief which I think will be better. One question, since they are so lightweight do they wear out quickly and/or tear easily? A note on the tan lines, apparently you need to use a 50 spf sunscreen on the exposed skin to keep things even.

While there is only a micro elastic on the side, the suit is high cut enough that the bush and crack are completely covered. I would be more at ease wearing that than the micro.

I have a pair of Andrew Christian pouch briefs that I wear when a swimsuit is required. Feels great and covers everything that needs to be covered.

Light nylon boxer style shorts with the liner cut out and the elastic cut so they just use the draw...the fabric is off the body, light, and the waist is comfy and not heavy at all when wet. I usually just go nude and put on underwear as i exit the water if I must.

I like speedos great for tanning dry quickly. Also got four pairs of aussiebum swim briefs for this summer. All I wear is brief style swimwear when I can't go naked.

Dig dt rid of the non-tan through suits and the tanga, so the only swimwear I now have is a tan through regular brief and short trunks.

When I swim at my local Y or college gym I wear spandex swim briefs. Usually I'm the only one. But lately I'm seeing more of them. Fashion may be changing again. Some of the swimmers have the new stretchy jammers like the elite swimmers wear.

When I was swimming Thursday night it occurred to me how much I love skinnydipping, but that I love swimming for exercise (laps). It's fun to skinnydip in the ocean, but most nude resort pools and friends' pools are too small for lap swimming, mostly just bobbing around. Anybody know of a nudist place with a lap pool?

I've recently found Cocksox, from Australia. The material is wonderfully soft yet supportive the cut of the suits do what they say from holding you up and out to a flatter profile . I love them.

Even though they are a long way from me, it is nice to know they are out there. I guess it's spandex for the near term.

If you get round to visiting UK message me and I will point you in suitable directions.

This is me, unlined mesh gym shorts, the sort ones, I cannot stand the surfer shorts. I would look ridiculous in a speedo, i know i tried already.
Years ago, before becoming a nudist I saw an ad about the tan thru swimsuit. I got a tan thru swimsuit and liked the feel and sheerness of them and started laying in the sun in the backyard. It felt like I was wearing nothing while laying under the warmth of the sun and would dry quickly after getting wet. I wore them so much that the front of the became very faded, then one day I decided to remove them while laying in the sun and enjoyed the feeling that I never needed to wear them again. I got hooked on the feel and for the freedom of being naked and have spent many hours in my back yard while getting an all over tan.
Agreed, but the lighter weight of a tan thru suit makes is much more comfortable when you have to wear something.
