how do u shave you genitals without getting ingrown hairs?

Deryck A HughesJul 12, 2014i just started shaving and had red bumps for a while. I started using Gillette body gel. That stuff is amazing. the razor really glides well over all of the curved parts. i do shave slowly, and rinse often. i also rub the gel in allot. that creates a a different issue. the more i rub the bigger the issue becomes .. but i have no ingrown hairs at all. I also changed razors to the hydro 5 sensitive. that combo seems to really work good for me . I am 19 and used to only trim close. now I am silky smooth and LOVE IT .....ReactReply - JO
JohnJul 19, 2014I have found the problem is definitely lessened by using a 4 or 5 blade razor, not a twin blade. And don't try to make the blade last forever -- change it often.ReactReply - MA

Paul CahillJul 24, 2014After only a short time of having started to shave I nicked myself at the base of my pubic hair line which was neatly trimmed and very quickly developed a big brown mole. My doctor is reluctant to remove it but I find it ugly and have let my pubes grow again to mask it. Very frustrating!

Not so sure i buy into the arcticle. If our bodies were that sensitive to diseases then we shouldn't shave around our face either because the beard and mustache would prevent things entering our nose and mouth. With the amount of people who shave their pubic area... There would be an epidemic out there.

I've used to get waxed fairly regularly but stopped just because of cost. It was a smoother finish, I must admit - almost erotic, if I can say that.

I did my balls, shaft and perineum for one treatment and didn't notice any difference. I know it takes up to 6 to do any lasting results but at this point I've opted not to continue. I do like the dry shave on my balls as I agree it gives a closer shave.ReactReply

I did 6 laser sessions on my pubic region and butt crack. There's less hair there but not smooth as I wanted. Unfortunately, with age comes gray hair and the laser won't get those so guess what, that's what's left and that's what I shave.

My personal view is being shaved down just is not natural and the hair must be there for a purpose. I'm clean shaven on my face and visit the barbers for a trim and tidy even 4 to 6 weeks; it may be natural just to let it all grow but it would be impossible to look after.ReactReply

I got waxed last Sunday. A bit painful being my first time. I will be getting waxed monthly as I don't have the "balls" to do it myself. I have been told that if you get it done monthly the hairs are finer making it less painful. I will see in 3 weeks. After having a forrest down there, it is really nice smooth.
