  • Don't Ask, Don't tell Beach

    Better to arrive by boat or whatever(floats yours). This beach just isn't intended for baring it all. I'm local and I wont go to the trouble. Just find a private beach like area that you are less likely to have pervs or haters lurking.

    Pros: Camping area is covered by darkness to easily be hidden from view. That goes both ways. Couples can relax and have nothing else to focus on except sound of the surf and campfire.

    Cons: Anything I mentioned in my review.

  • Warning ...Overzealous Ranger making many arrests for nudity on Johnson Beach

    We have visited this beach for years enjoying privacy and nudity. A 20 to 30 minute walk will take you to a very secluded area with no one else in sight. Should someone be there, a quick conversation will determine if they enjoy nudity and if the "coast is clear". All are very respectful and cover up until this is known. As in any federal park, Rangers are assigned and patrol. They are doing their jobs and we respect that. In the past the Rangers would patrol on their four wheelers with the headlights on, making their way down the open beach , visible from a distance - giving time to…

    Pros: Beautiful, clean, secluded white sand beach; dolphin and sea life in natural habitat to watch and enjoy.

    Cons: The recent, sudden presence of Ranger "Barney Fithe" who spies, sneaks up on and arrests anyone who dares to go topless on HIS beach-takes this 5 star rating down to a 4
