Sex-Shaming — General Discussion on True Nudists

I just read through the comments on a topic titled "This Sites Culture." Many commenters expressed negative feelings about people who posted naked body images with no faces. Others referred to people who post content they considered sexual as "bad." Well, my feelings on this topic may offend some. But, oh well, here goes: One of my issues with the nudist/naturist community is how much they seem to like to sex shame. Sex-shaming is, after all, just another form of body-shaming. Sure nudism isn't about sex. Nudity and sex are, however, linked in multiple ways. Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with that. And, one thing is certain: if we accepted and embraced the notion that humans are sexual creatures then nude-shaming would be a thing of the past. Sex-shaming others actually perpetuates naked-shaming. As to why some people chose to NOT post photos that include their faces here is a fact: Some people simply cannot risk doing that. I am one of those. In my day job, I am somewhat of a public figure and if my naked body with face was out on the Internet my career would be over. That is a sad statement about the culture we live in. But, it is a fact. And, IMO, y'all who are on the "others are not nudists the way *I* am a nudist so they are bad" bandwagon are living in a paradigm that is not really much different than the modern culture which says your nudism is bad. Shaming others for expressing their nakedness/sexuality differently than you do is no different than the people who would shame you for being a nudist. You can't have it both ways. Live and let live. And, treat others as you would like to be treated. Then, the culture here will be just fine.

Where do all these self righteous people come from sticking up for the perverted hoard.
Through twenty years experience of social naturism Ive earned the right to have an opinion on the mental capacity of some so called naturist on this site and the drivel they post.
Ill continue to call out the idiots who confuse the lifestyle I love with their lack of ability to find a place on the internet for their particular kink. Using google isnt rocket science. If you want to discuss peeing in sinks and you settle on a naturist forum to do it, youre a fucking moron.

YOU has "earned the right" to judge the mental capacity of an other individual. Do you have a degree in Psychology, other than arm-chair Psychology..?? Also, NO ONE, esp. It's actually pretty simple with me. If you wouldn't say it clothed at a get together among friends, you shouldn't say it nude at a nudist venue.

I am sure you had to go digging around the site ignoring all the articles about naturist and posts by naturist to find a single picture you think could form the basis of an attack guess what fail. As they say in my neighborhood if you going come for me you better brings receipts. Do you know why there are so many naturist photos that have been hijacked and posted on porn sites because people like you see simple nudity as sexual. I say it like I see it. And, I agree with what Steve posted (quoted above). The thing about autism... There is no grey area. There is right and wrong. Steve is right, you are wrong. I am not about to entertain the thought of using naturism as an outlet for perverts to get their jollies. The two are not related, except in the mind of a perverted person. I have spoken the last I will speak on this. I don't think we're really getting anywhere.

Too much info in ths thread; enough for a theatrical play or a not-so-short novel. There are so many different opinions, arguments and counter arguments that a newcomer cannot read from post #1 and make comments 70 posts later.
Sharing the platform is inevitable. In the same way we live in communities with neighbours that we cannot become friends with for a number of reasons. Everyone's looking for individuals or groups with common interests, with similar understanding of life.
Some of us are creepy, some of us are transparent, some of us are distant, some of us are extroverts. Unless the site decides to apply more strict rules (which would certainly shuffle their target audience a little bit) everyone should be welcome to express oneself or show off.

Wow, this thread really exploded yesterday! My two more cents is that I am a moron and I know it. I judge too quickly, throw labels around as tools for "fixing" when I should really be listening and believe that my wealth and breadth of life experiene should apply to others. I'm also learning a lot from good people on this site, admire their openness over the repression of my culture of origin, and know that I don't have to agree with everything and everyone to uphold a fundamental respect and playfulness for others on this social media platform. As far as the rest, it's just details and I'm willing to let it go....

Once you start negatively labeling someone, the reader has a tendency to stop listening to your point or opinion. This is not the first, and most likely not the last, time that you have made your opinion Boisterously present on a topic.. and proceeded to call people names. If you want to make a point, than do just that.. make your point. Type it out, re read it, edit it without inflammatory language or hurtful statements, and modify as needed. Too many people these days feel as thought they can say, post, ...whatever they want without recourse .. and they are wrong. For every action you take, there is a reaction- good or bad. Yes, I am well aware that what I post here is on the internet... just as yours will as well. (Something to think about.)

Great response. Ever noticed that these folks never respond to reasoned arguments with anything But the usual tropes about puritans and self righteousness. Deflecting from the reality of their own self righteous indignation at anyone who doesnt accept their views as normative for naturism.

Why does this matter because a society without boundaries is a society that is unraveling. A group without norms is a mob and a nudist/naturist without respect for the principles and philosophy of the naturism is just a pretender.
