BrianOct 17, 2011My best friend and I have seen each other naked and we're totally okay with it. It didn't bother us the very first time we saw each other (which was in a locker room) and since then we've just accepted it as part of life.
ReactReply - MEMemberOct 22, 2011I use to worry a bit when I went away with mates staying in motel rooms etc but don't now. One mate that I've known for over 30 years sometimes will walk around and sleep naked and then other times he won't. Most of my mates I've stayed with sleep in just undies so when it comes time for bed I pop into bed with mine on and then shed them when the lights go out. If I'm staying with mates that walk around the motel naked I will also but if they don't I won't either. I always carry a dressing gown for that morning walk from the bed to the shower (and to cover up that morning wood. ..lol..).ReactReply

caster1Oct 27, 2011A long time close guy friend came and stayed with me a few days. Even though we see each other about once a year he hadn't been to our house in many years.
Anyway, he's in our swimming pool when I go up, I put a suit on since I hadn't had time to tell him we go sans suits. But as soon as I get in I tell him we usually don't wear suits. He said that's fine with him so I pulled mine off and he followed suit, (pun intended)
We spent the next couple of days in the pool without suits, no big deal, but he repeatidly asked my wife it it bothered her, which it did not.
But after he'd left I did kind of wonder if maybe I'd pushed a friendship boundary, he did tell me he's usually nude at home when possible but it left me wondering. Nudity in front of someone is not something you can take back.
While I'm comfortable nude in most any situation, being nude around long time guy friends that you've never been nude around is a bit awkward. Newer friends I wouldn't give it a second thought, part of learning the friendship.ReactReply - ST
SteveOct 27, 2011In a shared-room or shared-tent situation, I won't necessarily socialize naked, but I don't worry about the convenient, incidental nudity involved in undressing for bed, dressing for the day, or moving from bed to bath or outside to pee. I just don't own underwear, pajamas, or other special garments for occasions like that.
I kinda tot up a list of which friends will have noticed that I'm comfortable with nudity, and always feel closer to someone once that little barrier is crossed. The sooner the better; yes, it is easier with newer friends.ReactReply - AV
av-geekOct 27, 2011I have a small camping trailer, and prior to getting married, would frequently go on road trips with friends. Most of us would sleep naked and not really bother to dress if there weren't anyone camping near us out in the wilderness. It was not anything sexual, just being guys and being comfortableReactReply - TN
TNAKEDNov 17, 2011I've been naked with my friends and have no problem with it. We've been camping and I love to sit by the fire naked ... I'm home naked and they come over ... what the hell ... I'm comfortable ...

spideymann66Nov 18, 2011I have no problem being nude around my friends....sometimes they just assume I'm nude! I do forget occasionally, and have disrobed around ppl without warning, and have got little reaction. I do it so naturally and not make a big deal out of it, so no one really blinks an eye!
I've never had a problem about being naked in view of others (male or female). If they have a problem with nudity, then it's just that ~ their problem.
Only once has anybody 'objected' to seeing me naked. I was strolling around the local marshes with a friend, who was also naked, and saw a guy in the distance. I could see that he was using binoculars. As we got near to him he asked: "Is that how you get your kicks?" We didin't answer, but I pointed to his binoculars and asked him the same question. We continued on our walk, turning occasionally to wave to him!ReactReply - SR

Ditto, me neither. Never had a problem with friends or new acquaintances, be it swimming, in a locker room, camping, whatever...
ReactReply - PU
pupkelevDec 18, 2011I've got a close circle of friends who frequently share nudity. It's not that unusual to be at a party and after a while someone shucks off their clothes and then the rest follow suit. We also frequent a Korean spa that's nearby. They require nudity in the wet area. It's an amazing place and we always have a blast.
ReactReply - MEMemberDec 18, 2011I have no problem with being naked in front of my buds - of either gender - but I know a few of them are somewhat reticent of the idea of full nudity, thus I accommodate them to spare feelings. Our hot tub is always nude, no exceptions, so folks are welcome to make their own decisions as to whether or not to join us out there. It is obvious when in a semi-public area, such as a change room in a swimming pool, that the majority of people are terrified of being seen nude, so many, especially the new generation, do the towel dance from shower to clothing. I notice a lot skip the shower altogether, and dress still smelling of chlorine pool. I guess the culture of fear has put strange ideas into the next generation....ReactReply

People in Australia have become such prudes. I make a point of always being naked inthe change rooms at the gym and any other place where it is appropriate to be naked. Too many people take everything to the shower so not even a shoulder is seen! So many good lookers as well - you would think they would have no issues showing off the muscly bodies they have been spending do much time perfecting.

BobJan 2, 2012This thread reminds me of a situation years ago when my wife and I were members at Pine Tree in Maryland. We were at the club one weekend when I saw one of my business clients on the "newbie" tour with his wife. I was a bit unnerved but decided to simply address the situation head-on. I grabbed my wife's hand and we walked over and welcomed him and his wife the the club. We spent the afternoon hanging out, all nude, of course, and had a great time. He became an even better customer and the four of us went on a couple of nude vacations together. Eventually we both moved away fro the Washington DC area and lost touch but the experience certainly showed me that social nudity can make for good relationships.

MichaelJan 23, 2012My friends know I'm I am a nudist and I know which ones I can answer the door nude with . A married couple whom I am friends with just bought a hot tub and was asked if I would like to use it . Having never been in one said sure .It kinda shocked me when they said I could use it nude but they prefer wearing their suits but I didn't have to. Yes I went in nude and it felt great . I have noticed that some friends tease me about being a nudist but it's all in fun .ReactReply - SO
SoupieSep 17, 2012I just don't think about it. Since the all male dorm in university, I'm used to being around friends naked, and at the cottage, all my friends skinny dip. I don't even notice.

BrianSep 17, 2012I just celebrated my birthday with my friends and we all did so in some state of undress. Four of us got completely nude, including my best friend and I, one just got down to his underwear, one stayed clothed, and one got shirtless. Mind you things did get sexual for a while, but following that everyone just stayed in their current state of undress until they left in the morning.

GrantOct 26, 2012I remember back at school, when age 14.
After sports classes, we were 12 out of 15 guys taking showers together in the shower room , which accommodated 20 to shower.
None of the guys had any problems with that, except for the ones not joining. We were pretty o.k. with it and kept on doing it til the end of our school days. This was the time when I got myself into naturism in a very conscious way, only to keep it alive to this very day. I have no problems going for car trips, excursions, such as bush hiking, nudist Beaches and social nude events, like naked/ nude yoga and other social nude events, or seeing nudist friends. On nude excursions, I was seen by textile strangers, of both sexes, which was no big deal. There is nothing sexual about of just being nude.ReactReply - MH
MHarrisDec 29, 2012
Was just in an interesting place with a bud that I have been friends with for many years. We went to Las Vegas a few weeks back. I wanted to go to a mens spa but did not want the guys I went went with to know about it.....anyway, I went to the spa and was sitting in the hot tub naked when my bud walks in, we see each other and have a moment of reality....he dropped his towel and got in....I was a little freaked by it but after a few mins was calmer. When it came time to get out, we both agreed it was awkward and just do it....so we did and it was not that strange really. He went off to get a massage and I went to another part of the spa but we got back together at the juice bar at the end and talked about guy stuff of the trip. It was odd but liberating....anybody else have an experience like that with a bud where you both were suddenly naked in front of each other?
I'm confused. You said he dropped his towel and got in. Why did it become awkward to get out? You already saw him.ReactReply - JU
Juan_in_ChinaJan 10, 2013When I was a student I lived with my best friend, and we were naked sometimes, like in morning for shower, and there was not much problem because we knew each other since kids. But now, I have a new roomate and he saw me naked one day and he was a bit mad, I did not expect him to be so conservative.
ReactReply - NUnudeguyMO1958Jan 11, 2013Up until last June, I had a pool in my backyard. Nudity was expected for anyone visiting. That's partly why I joined is to find friends to be naked with. My dream is to find a male friend with a private pool to swim in.ReactReply

MikeFeb 10, 2013Unfortunately, none of my close friends know I'm nudist. There are a few guys I steam in a sauna with regularly during the winter. We're all nude in the sauna. No big deal. We sit and talk and enjoy each others' company. I enjoy being around others nude. I think, for nudists, being nude should be a natural feeling. I can certainly see it being awkward for the non-nudist. But, as many have said, once you break that barrier, it's so much easier and frees you so much.

SoupieFeb 14, 2013I lived in an all male residence in university and then my fraternity house. All the modesty that I had was knocked out of me. It helped me to become a nudist. And I still have morning wood. Every morning. I think that's healthy.

vaughan78Apr 1, 2013While i was away on a carribbean cruise..I managed to inform my cruise roomates that i liked to be nude after a shower in the evenings before we got dressed fo the evening shows or dinner depending on the night (smart or casual smart). Due to the humity of the carribbean it helped to be naked for a n hour or so, the same in the mornings as i would be the 1st one up so i sat on the balcony to read naked while waiting for my roomates to wake up :) Last may i managed to be naked almost all day for 6 days at a clothing option villa in Spain for a nude yoga retreat, only dressed up again during the cooler evenings and early morning chills
