Over our tenure here at TN, we've found that there's a number of MARRIED males who have MALE only profiles.  Just wondering what the motivation is to leave the MRS. out of this formula.....?

Could it be:
1) Their wife isn't a nudist....
2) They are nudists, but doesn't want their wife to know that they have a profile...
3) They aren't nudists at all but what a great way to meet people who are.....
4) This is one big fantasy and if their wife found out about this, their status would change to DIVORCED....

What is it?  Why are you here as just a male if you're married?  My wife and I have no secrets about nudism, our private life activities, or who we chat with, or what we do.  Why aren't you proud of the most important thing to you in life, and why don't you give her the respect she deserves....

Anxious to hear from all the MARRIED men out there with non-couple profiles....

Steve

Like most others who have responded, the reason my wife and I don't share an account is because she is not a nudist; she has gone nude with me at beaches and spas in Europe on a few occasions, but does not elsewhere. She knows I prefer to be nude, but when I go to nude beaches here in the US, it's usually alone, and not so much fun. She is very self-conscious, so I don't know if I will ever change her mind.
That being said, even if she were a nudist, we wouldn't share a profile on here; were are individuals, with different interests, and as with all other things, would present ourselves as our individual selves who are happily married. I personally have never understood shared couple profiles, e-mail addresses, etc.
i dont like not telling or keeping this from her but should i deny myself a way to be in a nudist environment even if it is only electronic? i believe im very respectful of all on this web site who do not bring sexuality (in any form) into this and those that do i ignore. so am i wrong???
I don't believe anyone on this site can judge your relationship with your wife-- it's your marriage, and only you can know what is really wrong or right for it. I hope at some point your wife comes around so you can at least be yourself more openly, even if she will not join in.

There may be number of reasons as stated here. There also are married females or fems in relationship who here on their own and not as couples, but as there more male profiles they probably strike out easier.
    My reasons:
    1) It is me that is here, not anyone else I live with (though I may show interesting postings or if on cam I may not be all the time alone), so posting a couple profile would not be informative as I communicate here mainly on my own, and not jointly with anyone I live with.
    2) I want to avoid unsolicited attention by leaving out of profile and pics any person(s) I live with
    3) Marriage as an institution is an issue and standard in the US, in Europe a lot of couples never consider even making a legal bond
    4) There may be a time that we will post a couple profile, that time is not yet. It also is possible that in addition to both having individual profiles there is a joint couple profile but that would seem to be a bit complicated.
    5) I happen to travel together also with other people than those I live with, so I am not acting even in social context solely as one half of a couple.
People just happen to have different lifestyles and reasons, I presume some tolerance and understanding does everyone well. Except fakes and posers, but even they probably need to get steam out some places. Just wish they had some other spots for that than nudist websites.
im married too and my wife is also a nudist..and i dont hide anything from her. She knows im on the site and approves it. We both love nudism but the only thing is she dont want to try nude resorts and beaches as much as i do. I think personally the easiest way to solve this problem and keep people from labeling you as a fake is to put in a relationship in your profile..has worked so far for me and have had no people label me as a fake or someone with wrong intentions...just my 2 cents...not wanting to piss anyone off!
Your opinion is worth at least $1.00.  Thanks for sharing it with us and no worries on pissing anybody off!

i see the same with the ladies, like everything in life your partner is not alway going to have the same interest, my wife is a closet nudist she likes to have naked day at home and will go to a nude beach but not a real part of her life.

Names are just that - names. Anyone is free to call me whatever they want. But i am confident in myself.
As to married guys calling themselves, single. So what. I have several marieed nudist friends whose wives will not join them. So in one sense they are 'single'. Just good that they can meet others, here online or at our houses, so no isolation.

I am a single male and 63 years old.  If someone I know finds this site and then looks thru a thousand pictures to find mine.  So be it.  What were they on the site for in the first place to find me.  I am re-tired, so what would they do try to black mail me.  I have nothing to hide if someone does find out that I am a nudist.  My neighbors or ex-coworkers and church member do not know, but there is things I am sure I do not know about them.  I am not going to do a back ground check on everyone I know to find there little secerts.  I have better things in my life than that and most people do.  What are the odds of someone finding your picture on here if you put it on for friends only.  You could see there picture first and if you know them either deny or appove them.

I am more the nudist than my wife, always have been, although as she now says, "The older I get the less I care" and she is getting better at ditching the clothing. Getting her to up to doing it socially has been a struggle for her though. Never pushed her, just made an effort to expose her, so to speak, to the lifestyle whenever possible. Getting her involved with online forums would probably help. Letting her know just how normal it is.
As far as web site stuff, she doesn't use the computer much, has no idea how forums work, and for now she really doesn't care. I'm hoping to get her more involved though as social networking seems to be the easiest was to make friends these days. Not matter what the interest.

My wife and I are both active nudist. As to my profile picture, she asked me not to post one of her so out of respect and love I followed her wishes. As matter of fact, my wife took this picture of me.
I don't really know how you are supposed to comment on the pictures, but I think that many of the comments are risqué.
You're not the only one who believes many of the comments are risqué. I generally don't dwell on the comments as I figure the subject in question can complain if he or she disapproves of a comment. But if we follow the rules correctly, then A LOT of them would be flagged.

There are other reasons that are missed. I am married but my husband is not a nudist. He is aware of my profile and I haven't said or done anything that he doesn't know about, isn't contrary to nudist behavior, or in violation of TN policy. Time to expand definitions: Married doesn't always mean to a woman. -Cheers -Eddie
Could it be: 1) Their wife isn't a nudist.... 2) They are nudists, but doesn't want their wife to know that they have a profile... Steve
Very simple.  My wife isn't a nudist.  Of course she knows I am a nudist and she knows I visit here.  Further, that seems to be the overwhelming majority of the males I have chatted with over the last 13 months I've been here.

I will let you know how it goes.... Anyway enough babble... It must be a wonderful feeling to have your spouse involved in your lifestyle and to have someone to share it with.

I am nudist but wife is not and doesn't want me to go where she would not be able to come along. She will not go to a nudist camp with me. I would like to find someone nearby that would go with me. From N. IL.

Yep married as stated but the wife is not nudist and won't hardly let me take her pic even while dressed. she knows I am a home nudist and I run all over the property that way. Her only comment is always "What if someone sees you?". she enjoys the jokes about nudism I find and I hope one day she will relax and enjoy it all as she has been getting easier with it. She will do yard work in her Nighty and not care if she is seen, OK now i'm confussed?

maybe instead of questioning this in a broad stroke (judgementally perhaps?), as there are clearly warranted situations,  management should boot those that are wackin off in the chat rooms and trolling spread- eagle in their pics .  tho new here, i too want to a site where most of the participants are intersted in the nudist lifestyle and not have to be subject to all the crotch shots of other guys.  not the biggest deal to me but would be nice if far fewer pics of guys were seemingly posted to solicit other men.  i know.  that sounds judgemental too, but...after a short while...

i think its just the fact that you respect your partners wishes that they arnt happy being nude with other nudes but that doesnt mean that the male partner shouldnt enjoy the nude lifestyle i love summer and being naked on a nude beach and if i had my choice would be naked all day long
i didn't read all of the previous replies, but i would posit this with deference to others who may have posted this previously.  i am a single male - the dreaded, spurned, and despised class of nudists.  MAYBE the reason some males post as "Married" is to avoid the disdain of the masses for being a "single male."  i DO believe that the exclusion of "single males" is contrary to the spirit and definition of naturism.  naturists accept all races, body type, social classes .... but not single males.  ok - maybe i'm venting, but i am offended that people can call themselves naturists, but immediately defile its basic tenets.
I have to agree with you on this one. It's seems just about everyone believes all single guys are pervs or trolls. Sometimes I feel everyone thinks a single guy on a naturist site should prove he's not on a sex offender database. So many attack the single male, yet they have no problem walking in front of them at the nude public beach where anyone and everyone can go. And what about the married guy who uses photos of his wife or some he downloaded to pose as a woman so he can friend other women? My profile says my relationship is complicated. My wife and I have been separated off and on for over a year. She still doesn't know what she wants to do with our marriage. We both date, but have made a commitment to stay faithful to each other sexually. She was an avid naturist until we had kids. Then she thought her body wasn't good enough. She knows I still go to nude recreation clubs, she won't go, but say she doesn't care if someone goes with me. We still go to our house in Saint Martin together. I go to Orient Beach, she stays around Grand Case. So I put "it's complicated" because i think it sure as heck is. Don't get me wrong. I deplore anyone who uses deception to gain access to profiles, pictures or anything else, but I also hate the fact that just about everyone negatively labels single men.  Those that label single men as trolls are the same one's who think anyone that drives a pickup is a redneck, anyone with a BMW is rich, and anyone that isn't just like them is wrong about everything.

My wife is not yet comfortable with the openness of being a true nudist.  She is just now warming up to being nude more often at home and just today completely disrobed at Haulover Beach (while laying down, she put her suit back on to go in the water and walk around - I disrobed immediately at the sign and stayed that way).  I hope to get her comfortable with going to White Tail Resort next spring / summer and hopefully more open by next years trip back here to Florida.  Until then, it will be me - just another married guy with a male only profile as I have no desired to trick anyone into thinking otherwise.

I think I am an exception. We are both nudists and Mrs. knows I am on here. She can often be seen in the background when my cam is on. Also she is in several profile pictures. We are both AANR members and also of Avatan, the nearest Landed Nudist Club. We spend every summer weekend at camp at our trailer.
