Don't like? Don't read![/quote] This isn't a First Amendment issue. Freedom of Speech isn't Freedom from Criticism. The First Amendment means the government can't prevent you from speaking your mind. It doesn't prevent moderators of this site or anyone else from trying to keep the discussion on point, or saying that someone's post is inappropriate. After all, doesn't their Freedom of Speech allow them to say that?

  When I was new to visiting nudist venues many years ago, I was worried about getting an erection, especially since I was usually going as the "dreaded single male". To lessen the chances of getting aroused, I used what I'll call theSomething About Marymethod. If you haven't seen the movie, Ben Stiller's character gets the advice to masturbate prior to going on his first date with Mary so that he won't be driven by his urges and do or say something stupid to screw up the date. Anyway, I did find that relieving some tension ahead of time seemed to quell my tendency for arousal. Just a reminder though, if you do use this method, be sure to check for any stray "hair gel" before you head out!

  I'm not exactly a n00b nudist and I still get erections when at the beach or swimming pool, even walking about my own home. If I'm with guys then there usually isn't a problem, but if women are present then I try and hide it.

  A few years back I climbed out of the diving area at a nude swim, the water was extremely cold and I couldn't feel downstairs, but my penis was rock hard and no one complained, they just smiled or laughed.

  I find it's only on this forum you get all the prudes, mostly the home nudists, I find.

  Maybe I'm different? When I'm outside naked, even around beautiful naked women in a nudist environmnent, I don't get hard.

  I mean sure, there are beautiful naked women around, but I know it's not a sexual situation, so I don't get hard. They aren't behaving in a sexual manner, and neither am I, we're just relaxing in a social gathering. Nobody is doing anything that is designed to elicit a particular response, so we're all just socializing without the burden of clothing.

I've gotten erections sitting on a bus and not thinking about sex at all, I put that down to the vibrations from the bus causing my clothes to rub against my penis. Also there are times when I haven't had any sleep for more than 24 hours and am too tired to control my body and get an erection with not one thought about sex.

  I wish erections were easier to get at my age (80). Maybe I need some chemical help. My wife and I are nude together a lot, and erections never happen spontaneously. In the morning it's possible (maybe), but it rarely happens.

A few reasons why mainstream society does not accept nudism is because, some people are small minded bigots, others don't have the capacity to understand why those of us that do it, do it ! What is your actual view on nudism? What is your problem about guys getting boners ? Do you automatically think that a hard cock means "I want sex" ? I would really like to know your opinion on nudity and naturism, and please don't just go on about people talking about hardons, or advocating sex in the open etc, give me your personal view of what being naked means to you !   Erections are a sign of strong vascular health and are nothing to be ashamed over. Perhaps women might find them suggestive, and fondling yourself in public is not appropriate. I was at a male nudist gathering and one man got erect while talking in a small group and he and the others did the right thing about it: nothing.

  I have read all 10 pages of the comments that the original post generated and yet I still don't not understand what was so offensive with the original question and inquiry from the member of this site ???????? Forgive me if I can not remember who originally answered him, but that post was to the point, polite and insightful, again, what was so terrible with that answer. Anyone ????

  have seen it at the gym, we have a hot tub in the change room and have a clear view of the showers, do not worry I have seen many guys getting hard in the shower, it happens
