I am wondering why some men prefer to shave their pubic hair. I know some will say because they like to look, feel etc, or their significant other likes the look/feel etc. But, especially for the older nudists, I wonder how many shave to hide the fact that they are getting gray down there and are trying to remail youthful looking.
Just a thought.
I myself have trimmed before, but not shaved at I don't forsee enjoying the maintenance of being shaved, i,e, I am too lazy.
Thoughts?

I first started getting rid of pubic hair decades ago before manscaping was even a word. For me it was a cronic case of getting ingrown hairs that would get so infected they would be purple and the size of quarters and take weeks to heal.
Then as I became more sexually active and has a few bad experiences with getting womens pubes in my gag reflex I started asking for them to shave too.
So for me it was a case of whats good for the goose is good for the gander as they say. As much as I dont relish a mouth full of pubes going down on her I certainly dont want the same for her.
And as one member responded...I really looked silly too at 18 with a dark tan but white pubes and chest hair. So not only did I start manscaping but getting rid of any body hair period except my head which I keep very long and tidy

I usually trim so it's not sticking out from everywhere, but reading

We knew waxing was an option, but till you actually try it, it sounds way to painful. At least to us. It was a happy coincidence that about the same time we found this thread, a close friend and neighbor opened her own spa with waxing. Id had been talking to my wife about trying waxing because I hated the razor rash and ingrown hairs. At our Christmas party Kelly told our friend she was sending me to her cause she was tired of hearing me talk about it, it was time to man up! So I went, I got a full Brazilian or Manzilian, and being honest the first time waxing can be a little uncomfortable. But the next time I went, I got my ears and nose done too. Then after a couple more visits I got my under arms done too. And before any men roll their eyes, its awesome and I sweat less and there is less stink when I do sweat. After a couple more visits, I got my chest and buttocks waxed too. I think, waxing can be a little addictive! Kelly started going with me, decided to give it a try on just her legs, and now she is getting everything waxed too. We get couple wax appointments and its more quality time together. Now, Im looking into electrolysis, being blondies, laser wont work on us. Not because I dont like waxing, but I really want to just be done with the hair. First appointment is in 2 weeks, well let you know.

I'm not trimmed or shaved anywhere other than from the neck up. The big issue for me to NOT shave or trim is that my wife doesn't like how stubbly and coarse my trimmed or shaved hair is in my pubic area. She doesn't like the way if feels while having sex. She says it irritates her. I do like that she's ok with me going all 70s pubes. It does make upkeep easier. I just wish she had the same attitude about the lawn.
Regardless, any ideas on how to trim/shave and keep the stubble or shorter hair from being so pokey (soft and supple)?

RonaldJul 27, 2018I shave because I enjoy oral sex. I hate picking hairs out of my mouth from either a man or woman. Since I dont like it I dont ask others to fight the hair so I keep it smooth. Im 72 and have shaved since I was in my early 20s. I also like the feel. I have completely shaved in the past but its gotten to be just to much work. And having it done is expensive.

ChuckJul 28, 2018For me, shaving my genital area is done for comfort. The comfort of the hairs not getting pulled or sweaty. It's a bonus that my wife likes them shaved smooth.
For a long time before I decided to shave, I was concerned that holding a sharp razor to that area could cause unwanted cuts. So for a long time I didn't shave. I didn't have as much hair as many other men nor was my hair thick or coarse. So, when I decided to shave, it was quite (and surprisingly to me) easy and very much pain free.
Now that I shave, it's an amazing feeling...especially when I have to wear pants (since I don't wear underwear).

dennisOct 30, 2018I had thought of doing so for many years. As not being a outednudist or social, I had only seen some magazines. The day came as a result of urgent medical needs. Went to sleep Sunday evening, then woke up Monday late morning after a surgery. One of the needs was a clean surface near the operating area. Hence, a very nice nurse removed 2/3rds of my pubic hair. Took a short time to realize what was done. Well, can't let it look off center so I removed the rest. Felt even better. For a year and a half the smoothness was constant. Now I shave the area every few weeks. Smooth feels good, but so does short soft hair. I enjoy the different breeze you feel. And swimming is also different. Color was never an issue. No one has made any real comments other than initial surprise of lack of hair.

BUT!
I have often thought about shaving my cock and balls but I have no idea how I would actually shave my balls, or my crack for that matter.
Another thought for me is if I shave my cock, balls and crack ... would I look daft being shaved in those areas and then having furry ass cheeks, thighs, legs, belly, chest in fact everywhere else.... apart from my balding head lol.
To be fair I would LOVE to have a non furry back so I do toy with the idea of a back wax every now and then.So a couple of questions for those that DO shave..
