I am wondering why some men prefer to shave their pubic hair. I know some will say because they like to look, feel etc, or their significant other likes the look/feel etc. But, especially for the older nudists, I wonder how many shave to hide the fact that they are getting gray down there and are trying to remail youthful looking.
Just a thought.
I myself have trimmed before, but not shaved at I don't forsee enjoying the maintenance of being shaved, i,e, I am too lazy.
Thoughts?

I have to agree with many others here...I shave everything because I like the way it feels to be completely smooth. I also prefer how it looks. I'm sure people think I'm weird or gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I have finally learned not to give a crap about what other people think. What I have learned is that more people think like you think than you think.

Being hairless is my personal preference. Also I may have inherited that trait from my father but I take it much further. I keep myself totally hairless from my chin down to my toes. I have been pluckng and shaving for many years (I am 69). I pluck mainly but what I can not pluck, I shave. I find plucked hairs have a slower return rate and are finer and finer. Some hair now come out by rubbng with a towel. I just enjoy the feel and look. I have also found a reduction in under arm odor since I shave and except for summertime, I no longer need to use deoderant.

I like to shave because I like been smooth,stands out better when I am out on the beach.I think women that shave or wax like to see men do the same.

DaneJul 30, 2017Adding an additional thought to that great response. Shaved/smooth skin is cooler in the summer. Sensitivity is increased, which means more pleasure, and it is a courtesy to your sexual partner.

I save because I have been blessed with way to much hair. I prefer the clean feel and look. It is also more comfortable when I sleep naked at night.

TomAug 3, 2017Interesting thought regarding getting older. No gray there yet. Been styling there for some time. Shaved in some places, trimmed in others. Comfort, tidiness, and general appearance (esp. since it's seen by others while naked). It's sort of like styling you hair, or combing it neatly after getting out of bed for those with longer hair. I guess we're trying not to look like unruly and make a good impression!

CliveAug 20, 2017I'm shaved because I like the way in which it looks and feels. Over the years I have varied from full bush to trimmed, to very trimmed indeed so that it became "oh what the hell!" and with a quick (and careful) swipe of the razor all trace of hair was gone. Some times I let it grow back again - but only really for the pleasure of shaving it off.....Perverse, I know. Then the grey ones started to show....... No hair is better than grey hair.

MackAug 28, 2017It started a few years ago. I decided I didn't like the hairy look, I couldn't even see all of my parts for the fur covering. I decided to trim a little so I did trim a little. Days later I trimmed more and liked it better. Gradually it progressed like that until I finally got up the nerve to shave smooth. My wife isn't into the life style and isn't aware of the other sides of me so I was nervous about what she might say. Finally, I shaved my penis, scrotum and all the way into my ass crack and rectal area. I loved it! What a fresh and free feeling! Today, I'm in a sling after rotator cuff surgery and it restricts my right (dominant) arm so I cannot use it. I started getting stubbly and didn't like it so I developed a way to shave. I do it every two or three days and sit here now, nude and freshly shaved smooth and loving it. I can't imagine any other way. Walking on Blind Creek beach I see that the great majority of other nudists of both sexes agree with me. It increases the free and natural feeling for me.
