Shorter Shorts — The Mens Room on True Nudists

Some of my gym shorts are wearing out so I ordered 2 new pair yesterday.
Since our grandson is here more and I am going less places that expect better dress, my gym shorts have seen a lot of use lately
My current supply has inseams in the 8" (20 cm) range, well above the knee but not really short.
Wanted to try something shorter so I ordered one pair with a 4" inseam and one with 5".
Will be fine at home, but don't know how it will work when I eventually get back to the gym. One of the reviewers called them the ideal work at home uniform. I suspect most of us would disagree and say that the ideal at home work uniform is nothing at all!

5" inseam cargo shorts arrived today. Perfect length for most activities, but may be a little too short for a few like going to church or playing in a concert.

I rarely wear any shorts longer than 5 but I have short legs. Guys with longer legs may not feel comfortable with that but I often wear 4 as well and nobody seems to mind. Rarely Ill wear 7 but they are less comfortable for and a little too close to my knees.

Following from my earlier comment, I did go and buy the larger-sized basic nylon shorts. The inseam increased to 3 1/2" with this size. Still mostly manageable, but a long evening walk proved to be their vulnerability or secret weapon, depending on your point of view. As I walked the crutch seam tended to bunch up and the light weight of the fabric worked in combination with this. The fact I was wearing a little adornment didn't help as the resulting extra prominence helped the front of the leg to keep riding up to the point where I could feel the lack of coverage and where skin (and metal) were visible to me as I looked down. Nearby lights and a little traffic (vehicle and foot) had me adjusting on quite a few occasions. I think I would be much safer without adornment providing prominence and weight, but where's the fun in that? :-)

They're not anything special to look at, but in keeping with the theme of this thread, are short (2.5") and reasonably comfortable with nothing beneath. I ended up getting them in both medium and large: the medium are shorter but since they both are non-stretch the large are more roomy and comfortable all around. The biggest risk for inadvertent slippage is getting in or out of a car while regular chairs are okay with just a little care. Crouching is dangerous with nothing beneath. I've had the larger ones ride up at the front on long walks in particular conditions.

I happen to be wearing the medium ones today so some quick snaps were no problem. :-) Hopefully they stay up!

I have decided that as my 8 to 10 inch dress shorts wear out, I will replace them with 5 inch shorts. I do have 2 pairs of zip off cargo pants that become about 9 inch shorts that I can wear places where I would not be comfortable with the shorter ones.

i don't have any but i sure remember them . and the lighter colors like white , silvery the pale green , they turned almost transparent when wet

Mine had liners but I cut them out. Used to run in them and yes, they could become quite transparent when wet.

When I came out of the sea, they were completely see through and I had a few strange looks from some people on the crowded textile beach. My wife was very embarrassed and walked off the beach.

I never had an issue. Some had split sides and those sometimes gave brief views of my "cheeks" while running but no one ever paid attention.

I am going to buy some Ranger Panties that have a 2 inch inseam for running. Supposedly this is what the military wears for training. Ill let you know how that goes. Most of my running shorts now have a 7 inch inseam which is great for putting a full size iPhone in your pocket. If I get really crazy Ill do triathlon training this summer in just a Speedo.

How do you avoid chafing between the legs if you run or bike nude or in Speedo?

When I talk about doing a triathlon I mean the sprint distance so 12 to 16 miles on the bike = less than an hour in the saddle. Also, I can use some glide or other lube to prevent chafing. I have done an Olympic distance triathlon before but the mile swim just about killed me.

Opening it would likely create problems when sitting.[/quote] On further thought, I decided that I really don't have any use for them so I destroyed them by my favorite method. Cut and ripped them while wearing them until there was nothing left but the waistband which I then removed and threw out with the other pieces.

Ordered 3 pair of 5" dress and cargo shorts today. When they arrive, the longer ones will go!

Two pair of the longer ones will go on the next trash day, While I will keep the pair that is in the best shape for a while, I suspect that after wearing shorter shorts most of the time, the longer ones will feel so burdensome that they will be gone soon also!
