Some of my gym shorts are wearing out so I ordered 2 new pair yesterday.
Since our grandson is here more and I am going less places that expect better dress, my gym shorts have seen a lot of use lately
My current supply has inseams in the 8" (20 cm) range, well above the knee but not really short.
Wanted to try something shorter so I ordered one pair with a 4" inseam and one with 5".
Will be fine at home, but don't know how it will work when I eventually get back to the gym. One of the reviewers called them the ideal work at home uniform. I suspect most of us would disagree and say that the ideal at home work uniform is nothing at all!

I despise long shorts, they rub my legs with every step and feel uncomfortable. The shorter the better and the looser the better, but I don't like attracting any attention when going out in public, so have to keep it reasonable enough so no one bothers to notice. I use short and loose n floppy at home in warm weather, using slightly oversize cheap lounge short and cut the legs up to 1" inseam, sort of like a short kilt with just a tie front to back, and loose them soon as I get out of sight from where critical people can pass by and object.

I wore my remaining pair of longer shorts today for the first time since the shorter ones arrived. It made me realize another minor disadvantage.
You have to unzip them to pee instead of using the leg opening!

Wore long pant for the first time in 13 days on Sunday since it was cooler and I had something special to do at church.
Felt strange and confining.
They were actually cargo pants that convert to shorts, so right after church I zipped off the bottoms.
That was better, but since the "short" mode has about a 9" inseam which is quite a bit longer than the 5" I had been wearing, I still felt overdressed!

Crossed one of the last 2 frontiers and wore 5 inch shorts to church today.
Then went out to lunch at a place that has a big band for dancing on Sunday afternoon.
My wife asked me if I was going to change into something with more coverage but I politely declined.
Last frontier is wearing short shorts when I am playing in a band concert.

Starting to replace all my cut-off denim jeans with BOA 1" Elite split running shorts for outdoor wear. The jean shorts are raveled up past the pockets and too many slips while in public lately. Do have a few Hurley Dolphin women's shorts that are very comfortable and look OK with a T shirt for shopping or running errands.

I have worn short shorts like the white ones in you profile. With a string tank top, only a cock ring under. Also, would wear scrub pants worn very low with a mesh tight shirt not enough to cover my mid section. Scrubs are nice to get off quickly. Just pull the tie

Oh I cut out every liner out of my swimsuits. Long time ago, oh they feel so much better. Plus the tan through is a great way too get that cock tanner. lol

Had an interesting experience early Saturday morning.
It's been really hot and dry here in Colorado and the landscaping has been suffering. I was out in my front yard at about 5:30 am adjusting the sprinkler heads in one zone that is particularly dry this year.
Unfortunately, my yard both front and back is not nude friendly so doing this naked is not an option no matter what the hour. As such, I was dressed in a t-shirt and Skinz Wear beach cover up/running shorts. These shorts are really short, legs split to the waist, and made from a thin mesh fabric. They are the next best thing to being nude while still being legal.
I had just made an adjustment to a sprinkler head when the local paper delivery person came down the street. I wasn't paying attention but was greeted with a hearty wolf whistle as their car passed. By the time Iooked up it was too late to see if the driver was male or female but I still felt good that I was paid a complement (even if crude) rather than a nasty admonishment to "put on some clothes ". At an out of shape 65 years old, I felt very good that someone made an effort to pay me a complement.
Guess there are a few besides me that appreciate short shorts!

It seems to me that I am seeing a lot more mid thigh shorts and less at the knee.
Has anyone else noticed this?
If so, do you think it is a trend or a response to the hot weather?

The only ones I've seen that reveal the upper leg are those I made myself. The shorter I can get them the more comfortable they are.
